I'm not ok. It annoys me that his album has been postponed since last year. Don't give us the date if they are not 100000% sure.

At least there are still his final concerts to guarantee that he will release his album within September.

I anticipated GDYB's promotion will be mess up again, with the upcoming Japanese tour. Now if they delayed it, after Seungri, just give the rest of time before the tour for Bae or Ji (Bae is better 'cause it's too long for his album ready), and hold back the other until the tour finishes.

 

YG's messed-up plan isn't funny at all, never "enjoy" his "trolling" like some YG's stans

I don't mind them to overlap since I don't think it will affect their sales much. It could be Seungri-19th > GD-end of Aug > Taeyang > 2nd week of Sep, so all of them will have enough time for promoting before dome tour.

 

I didn't find it funny either. It's just YG being unorganized.

just a thought.. i just read a tweet from piupiu, do u think its better if gd release his album first b4 anyone else or the latter

 

if yg just played his part in stretching the comeback and not them overlapping there is no issue who should go first, unfortunately it inevitable right now, it’s better for gd to be the last one to promote b4 bb.. we know gd’s popularity and i am not belittling the others members popularity, it just that if gd will promote in between he can still overshadow the others

I don't think it will be much different. There are other big acts who are going to make comeback in this summer too, BuBu, PSY, Kara, etc. If BB's member solo is not strong enough, they will be overshadowed by other act anyway.

In a good way, when the public check out GD songs. If they care enough, they may want to check out other Bigbang's member solo too.

Pretty much, double entendre.

 

I just need to get this out of my system but somehow g-d & teddy & yg has managed to finally get the difference between being "influenced"/"inspired" by American music and making their beats their own vs. bordering on getting accused of plagiarism. Like I previously said in the main thread, g-d's growth is evident from the first release of "This Love". The best example is "Who You" which has that Maroon 5 feel. I feel like he's gone a long way from taking M5's beats and using the sample for his rap to creating something that sort of has that sound but he can confidently call his own.

 

G-d is quite frustrating with Coup d'etat lyrics. He should have put something grander on it like he did with 1OAK, Still Alive or Intro for GD & Top Vol. 1. It just lacks his usual grit and style.But the "hook" of his rap is very very catchy. I like the feeling it evokes - foreboding, almost like Obsession (minus the heavy autotune) and She's Gone. It's my favorite for part 1. Meanwhile, R.O.D. is great. It has the most addictive beat and Lydia's part makes it easier for foreigners to recall/sing. Black is pretty but it bores me and apart from fade away part, I keep on forgetting its melody. Niliria will probably be better with just g-d. Missy's good but the beat does not go with her flow. Niliria actually reminds me of something from Leehom Wang's discography - Chinked Out era mostly. I will most likely love g-d's version because I think he has more of a handle of things korean.

 

I read some complaints regarding the songs he sang for Sketchbook but people should understand that g-d and the choreographers need the time to create something to fit his new songs which just came out.

 

And, only in kpop do I see comments where a song is just a day old and people already want a remix. This generation of kpop fans is too impatient.

They conplained that he perform old song right? MichiGo is epic live since the band is there I want GD to perform MichiGo instead of bad boy or crayon.

I didn't like the part2 at first but after a few listening runaway, you do and shake the world grown on me a bit. I'm quite like it now, not much though.

One that comes to mind right now for me is the one he had on Sketchbook for his OOAK promos. Colorful and fluffy-looking (but hard and dry irl )

 

2. What are your fave GD videos? (I may have missed some that you have watched ^^)

 

I really liked the handshake event vid gdsupporters818 posted on youtube recently. He looked so adorable there. The Niliria fancam by LanisRei(?) was also one of my recent faves. He looked so at home on stage.   

 

1. My favorite hair styles are : Apple hair, Blond HB's era and his headband during Haru Haru

 

2. I like his practice videos before debut the most, Gimme that and run it.
