I'm not ok. It annoys me that his album has been postponed since last year. Don't give us the date if they are not 100000% sure.

I can't blame people who are annoyed. GD's solo promo last year was messy... >.< Now this.

 

YGE really messed up by giving a specific date and not providing any further details now except "they're still working on an album". For such a big company, it's baffling how this happens a lot. It's understandable why people are confused/irritated.

I don't mind them to overlap since I don't think it will affect their sales much. It could be Seungri-19th > GD-end of Aug > Taeyang > 2nd week of Sep, so all of them will have enough time for promoting before dome tour.

Anyway I don't mind this delay since seungri is gonna promote. Gd released something last year at least so it's not as crucial for him this year. Knowing him, he'll be back later in the month. Someone in the BB thread said that bc skrillex and other artists came by yg, gdyb probably wanted to refine their work after hearing their advice. I might get bricked for saying this but  GD should be more mindful of what he does and posts on SNS. He messed up by not putting that picture in context. Personally, I don't think he meant any harm or that it's blackface(I thought he was a ghost or something, nearly gave me a heart attack ) but I can't blame people who think it's blackface, either.

 

Whatever that picture is supposed to be, he should really say something to clarify this issue, imo. Kpop as a whole already has a bad record with blackface and he already got in trouble in the past with that Andre 3000 photoshoot. It was excusable back then since he was younger but now that he's a lot older and he's already been exposed to more people outside Korea, he should know better(if that pic was blackface, ofc). What he did can give people the impression that he's insensitive so he better explain and/or apologize. He's an international celeb now with fans all over the world, he should try to be more aware of what's offensive or not in other countries. Especially in this case, he's influenced a lot by the American culture and he works with African American people, it's best to be aware of these kinds of things.

 

TL;DR: He should've known better and he should acknowledge this issue(blackface or not).

i'm rambling and i'm a mess when it comes to expressing my thoughts but i do hope you get my point.

That thing must be a real mask, it isn't paint bc how the fuck do you put it so close to your eyelids and it isn't good for your skin  but yeah, i think that he should have written a context so as people wouldn't misunderstood. He was trying to be a ghost hence the scary pose  and all, he ain't that stupid as to do an intentional blackface
