Honest opinion on new generation boy groups

I don't really follow boy groups as much as girl groups but I have been taking interest in the new gen of boy groups!

A lot of them are good and have good music. There are some new ggs who are blowing up massively and I feel like

its more obvious as to which groups would lead/dominate in the future. But I am not sure about new boy groups, there doesn't seem to be definite leaders. So, I want to hear your opinions on which new boy groups do you think will be the leaders in the future? Usually, there are 2 top groups, so which of the new gen boy groups will be the top 2 rivals?

Seventeen and NCT. Obvs luck/x factor plays a huge part in a group's popularity, but since we cant determine that yet, i'm just choosing the groups which have both visuals and talent

I think EXO still have a long way. And BB is going to enlist soon, but I don't see a boyband taking their spot as Digital Kings. Probably Winner or Ikon? but they still need a big hit, and seeing how bad YG promotes their groups lately, it seems defficult, but not impossible. BTS , GOT7 and Seventeen are also strong candidates, but none of them is strong digital to take BB's crown and they seem more orientated to fight against Exo (physical sales). Too early to talk about NCT.

I agree that top 2 will depend on how the companies will manage their groups! I think nct's position is probably more definite since sm is good at promoting their boy groups, while ikon's position will depend on how yg handles them.

YG has been pretty poor at managing and promoting their groups recently. Seventeen, too, depends on how pledis

goes about them.

who knows tbh. There are plenty of boy groups that haven't debuted yet so only time will tell.

SEVENTEEN; I was going to say NTC, but surprisingly SM is managing horribly this group, horribly, and Pledis is doing ( so far ) all the ABC with SEVENTEEN, plus SEVENTEEN being visual wiser than any other group

they're all so different to each other omg, i guess iKON vs NCT might be a thing though? it'll be all good for winner if YG promoted them better, and seventeen does depend on pledis' management in the future... i don't know about got7... JYP is doing p well with them and they have a lot of international fans??

Seventeen is leading the pack at the moment. NCT has such a confusing system it must be really confusing stanning them, Got7 aren't doing too bad either but I feel like NCT will eventually make a decent song and become bigger.

I like all of them but I can see iKON vs NCT vs 17 becoming a thing

I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on ikon? I think they will blow up at some point, they have huge potential, but it will

require yg to manage them well. YG really needs to step up their game, they need to promote their new groups better. 

I agree that Seventeen seems to be ahead with their recent cb, they are doing really well. NCT's system is confusing, yeah,

I think it might hinder them from becoming as huge as exo. But it can go really well too, they just need a huge hit. Winner has

a chance to get big too, but again it depends on how the company manages them. Got7 is doing good but they are still lacking

that impact. Monsta x doing unexpectedly good with their physical sales.

Seventeen's rise is the most impressive so far, also they don't come from a big company. Their success reminds me of BTS.

NCT isn't that well known with the GP compared to the other rookies yet, but knowing SM, I'm sure they'll hit it big so my guess is on iKON and NCT;

 

I only stan one BG but I really like all the rookies from 2014 and on

 

 

edit: I wanted to add that SVT's is doing really really well for a rookie from a smaller company, but I don't trust Pledis (neither do I trust YG or SM but mostly Pledis tbh) but I trust the boys that they'll grow big like BTS or INFINITE or BEAST.
