Court sentenced two netizens to 6 months of jail, 2 years of probation, and 80 hours of community service.

1. [+1,893, -56] You have to pay the price for your crime!! Have a taste of your own medicine!

2. [+1,662, -81] I hope this sets an example for others.

3. [+1,454, -36] Someone gets 6 months of jail for photoshopping a picture while a man who raped a mentally disabled woman for 10 years only gets 4 years. What kind of law system is this?

4. [+1,347, -137] EXO A Pink and other artists should push forward like this.

5. [+167, -14] The rape case in Jeju Island about the mentally disabled woman who was raped for 10 years only got 4 years and 80 hours of community service... I really think the law is too light;;

6. [+149, -5] He's 32 years old and sat around photoshopping pictures ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Just watch porn in that time instead

people really go to jail over photoshopping in korea? They shouldn't have been sentenced to jail tbh even if it was over defamation. A criminal record ruins lives and for them to have criminal records over Photoshopping makes me hate Korea's law system even more.

I hope that judge who sentenced that man has his/her life ruined.

LOL at you for whining about how someone who's tried to ruin the lives of others get his life "ruined" by having a criminal record.

You can go to JAIL for photoshopping a picture????? That is INSANNNNEEEEEEE. Korea's legal system seriously struggles with protecting freedom of speech and expression.

He didn't just photoshop.

He tried to spread a story of how the photo was the Davichi member "paying" a sponsor.

Because it's over something as trivial as photoshopping. Those people won't live their lives the same ever again, prison is a horrible place for starters and the fact that their struggles will continue when they get out of prison is messed up too bc once you're out it isn't all alright again. Do you know how difficult it is for ex-convicts to find a job? Do you know how difficult it is for ex-convicts to be rehabilitated into society? It's ridiculous.

Celebs in Korea have gotten into car accidents while drunk and gotten off with less. Hell Kwon Sang Woo was drunk and hit into a parked car and then crashed into the cop car which chased him. He then got out of his car and ran away and didn't turn himself in until a day or so later. Because of the elapsed time his blood alcohol could not be tested so he couldn't be proven to have been drunk... but he still caused two accident and fleed from police. That sounds pretty serious right?

7 million won fine. (Around $6,700 US). No jail time.

It's photoshopping how much harm can it do? The picture will die down eventually but a criminal record stays with you forever. Are you also aware of the fact that there are actually many countries that won't allow people with criminal records into their country?

You do understand that the he photoshopped a photo to make it look like Minkyung was about to have sex with a guy and said that the guy was her sponsor (= powerful guy in the industry that can make her famous through his contacts to get her acting roles and other deals).

right?

Wasn't it just a picture of her wearing lingerie?

Even so, two years is too much.

Well, I better never move there. I see a lot wrong with this than just mere photoshopping. Seriously, jail for photoshop?!

For one, regardless of whether or not it is positive. Should we not jail every person who has photoshopped a celebs picture? After all, those are the implications of this.
