While both Wallace Huo's studio and Ruby Lin's studio have voiced their official stance on the issue by supporting China's territorial stance, netizens have noticed that Ruby Lin has not shared the post through her personal account. Many have come to her defense saying that her studio's stance represents her stance. They also state that she has shown herself to be patriotic through her work, including saying that she is Chinese while promoting in Korea. Ruby defenders claim that she is stuck in a difficult position being Taiwanese and that her studio's stance is representative of her stance because her studio is responsible for issuing important news, such as her marriage.

While Song Qian and Zhang Yixing have been receiving much praise for showing their stance on the issue (on both Instagram and Weibo) especially since they are "idols who work in another country"

It's ridiculous how they force ppl to post it.

After what happened with Leon Dai, I am not surprised they posted this. Imagine you have finished your act in movie, only to be fired and replaced. They are working in China so they have to post this in order not to get blacklisted. True fans will understand that this is politic. I will keep supporting them.
