help, i think i'm ill (thyroid)

so basically, i have both symptoms of hyperthyroid and hypothyroid simultaneously. initially, i had mostly hypothyroid's symptoms (loss of appetite, weight gain (not too sure, i just feel "fatter", perhaps from the lack of movements), cold intolerance etc.) also, i missed my period for around 2+ months. sex drive wise, i've never really felt it lol. i also have depression which is supposedly one of the symptoms (had it for a long time, so it may be unrelated). my muscles also felt sore and i rarely moved. not sure if it's because of a thyroid disorder or my eczema. however, my heart rate was irregular and very fast, and i had difficulty sleeping at night (hyper). my skin was dry and coarse (hypothyroid) yet (very) warm and occasionally moist (hyperthyroid). i guess i can attribute that to my eczema tho... i have it all over me. help >_<   today, my appetite was great, and i kept feeling hungry despite staying stationary most of the time. i have sore muscles and muscle weakness tho. as usual, my heartbeat was irregular and very fast. oh yes, i got frequent headaches but today's were the most intense!

will be very grateful to anyone who can provide more insights! it's really hindering my life. not sure if the post was too messy, will edit if needed! :)

you just make yourself anxious if you keep diagnosing yourself. Go see a doctor is the best thing to do.

i am already seeing a chinese physician. he thinks i'm hyper (he checked my pulse), but i've always felt that i leaned more towards hypo until today. i'm confused af. i'm also afraid bc this is hindering me in so many ways orz (eczema too)

Go see a doctor ASAP! If it's true what you're saying you need medication! It's not THAT dangerous but if you don't do anything you can get really sick and die eventually.

I myself had Graves disease (hypertheroid) so I know what I'm talking about.

Edit: I don't think you have hypertheroid tho (maybe hypo?). My symptons were different. I also felt very weak and tired but I actually lost  weight (without dieting), my sight got blurry, my heart beat way too fast and my hands were shaking uncontrollably. At my worst I couldn't even write my own name, it was just shaky lines.

Back then I thought I was ill too (hyperthyroid) . I had almost all the sympthoms, but in the end, when I checked myself better (with specific exams) it turned out that I didn't have anything. It was another problem but I exaggerated it because I was worried.

Do some exams, don't worry too much, really. Good luck with everything, <3

Obviously in hospital. Don't trust online exams, hospitals exist for a reason :")

And you are welcome :3

if you want you can PM me when you'll finished your exams, so you can tell me the results. FIGHTING!

--> Since I have my hormones for hypo I don't have depression anymore (I had once a year every year since a long time, like 8 years maybe) so keep faith !

--> Heart fast is hyper but insomnia can be hypo (it was the case for me, but in my case I sleep 16 hours a day haha).

--> Appetite : Hypo maybe.

Maybe you have both, I have Hashimoto's disease, it's hypo but it begins at first by hyper, it seems you have the opposite ? I don't know. I think (not sure) there is a disease with both (hypo and hyper) I don't know the name anymore.

ADVICE : go to an endocrinologue (better than a generalist) and tell you symptoms and ask for a blood test with TSH but also TPO, TG, and maybe T3 and T4 if you don't find any results.

Now I have my hormones (it took some time to adjust and to work) and I'm new again, just a little hormones can change your life !!!
