Is Suzy's Acting That Bad?

So I was going to check out the first episode of uncontrollably fond , but after seeing some reviews of it, there are so many people bashing Suzy''s acting. I have never watched any of her dramas so how bad is it? Also should I check out of uncontrollably fond? I'm interested in the story line a bit, but not really a huge fan of Kim woobin.

well, in kdrama in order to not be overacting you have to have this blank face all the time even when you're happy. over here, she'd be considered above average so...

I don't think it's bad. Its such gross exaggeration of people jumping of the bandwagon. There are so many other bad actresses out there but why target Suzy?

I've only watched the 2nd one but it sucked so bad. The only reason why I finished it was for Hyorin and park seo joon

She can't act but it's not like Kim Woo Bin can act well either.

I watched both episodes of UF yesterday and her acting wasn't as bad as I thought it would be although she did overeact in some parts and her shouting is annoying. The problem most koreans have with her is her enunciation (she apparently slurs her words) as you can see in the comments, I don't really care about that since i'm not korean although I could tell she was slurring in some parts. The drama also isn't as boring as i thought it would be based on the comments but it isn't that exciting either, the plot is predictable like persons were saying though. I tend to drop dramas a lot but i'll watch the next 4 episodes and see if I want to continue.

I've noticed in Suzy dramas she takes a while to get the feel of the character. When she does it is fine.

Her visuals in dramas is totally 10/10 though. She looks amazing in every scene.

About the drama. It is good. Episode 2 was great and touching.

I know, I never said it was better than the first one also I know that she didn't act in the 2nd one either. That's why I'm asking about her acting in the first place. The most I've seen from her is my love who came from the stars cameo

she's not amazing but I don't think actual actors are much better in thise types of kdramas so.....

cheesy acting fits a lot imo, she's never stood out to me in a bad way

Nope! I personally thought she was pretty natural in most scenes. There were like 2 or 3 scenes in the two episodes where she was awkward and a bit uncomfortable to watch but she's not as bad as people said. Kim woo bin's acting is really bad tho. He's had the same facial expression since the beginning of the drama.

I think people found the overall acting even worse because the drama itself is boring and not well produced! The scenes don't really flow naturally so far! 

 

Spoiler because I'm spoiling a bit of the story

 

 

Even with the scene where Suzy's dad gets hit by a car you cannot feel any suspense or thrill at all. I was like "oh so is he going to die or something?"

she doesn't have much depth but she's very watchable. I mean, she has a very likeable presence on screen.

 

I found UF really dull and predictable so far, so I'm not sure if I'll watch it. But don't let what people say about Suzy influence you!

she's not as bad as people claim her to be and she wont be ruining a drama either!

It isn't bad as what these knetz are saying. She improved actually. Knetz are just overacting/jumping on the bandwagon. I'm quite excited about how the story will turn out lol

She was always a bad actress but at least before she was saved but somehow better acting of her co stars, here KWB is as bad if not worse than her. That guy literally acts the same way in every single drama , he should be called out for it as much as her.
