How do you guys even deal with your friends?

Not sure if this is in the right section, but...

I got my roommate into kpop right.... First Miss A of course, she loves Hush so much she borrowed my cd and ripped the songs to her computer. :ahmagah:  And she is infatuated with G-Dragon and Psy. So I was telling her how cool k-pop cds are and told her to check out Psy's unboxing because it's really cool.

I showed it to her, and she was like jizzing over herself begging for the album. :wut: So I directed her to all of these kpop websites so she could find it, and she got upset because the album with poster option was out of stock lol Even though she already has a Gangnam Style poster up in her room

It's too much to handle right now lol   Are your newbie kpop fan friends like this?

I'M SO FUCKING SICK OF MY HOUSEHOLD PLAYING WHAT'S YOUR NAME

IT'S THE ONLY KPOP SONG THEY LIKE AND I WANNA SMASH THE STEREO

THE WHOLE THING WAS A DAMN ACCIDENT

That's my roommate and Hush at the moment

She even looked up the english lyrics and tried to sing along

XD....that's how I was when I first got into kpop but skip 4 years later and it's like maybe I shouldn't have bought all these albums .

I don't regret any of my babies but I have nowhere to put them and shelves would take up my poster space.

She'll calm down I think that's how crazy everyone was when they discover what they really like.

My friends humor me when I mention it, but are probably mentally rolling their eyes lol. At least my Korean friends find it humorous I'm more up to date with kpop than they ever will be. But when we know things together it's great. Really wish I could get my one friend to branch out to recent 2PM at least though.

i have 3 friends in school who are into k-pop

one only likes boy groups, especially 2PM and B.A.P

she can't stand female groups but miss A & 2ne1 are exception for her

every time she prints at least four or five photos of 2pm & B.A.P from the internet

like it's black and white so I don't know why she even bother

and recently she's so into VIXX, i think they have twin in the group I don't know but she keeps going off about this two twins

the other one likes a lot of female groups especially Nine Muses

she would go on and on about how Nine Muses is better than SNSD

and how she knew they would be famous one day....

and the other is a hardcore miss A & Jay Park fan

i can't shut her up when it comes to Jay Park...

I wish I could get my friends to give it a shot but I know they would never. You're lucky your friend is so open-minded!

She went to a Korean restaurant with a friend, so that's how she knows all about Psy and G-Dragon and we went together a couple weeks ago, and she'd ask me to identify all the kpop vids that showed up on the tv. G-Dragon is her boo lol and safe to say she likes YG, at least 4/5ths of Big Bang  I've only showed her Fantastic Baby though

Ugh I think its worse when your friends are all  kpop fans but like completely different groups.

I mainly like girl groups but all of them stan male groups and so of course I never agree with anything they say. Plus they hate so many female groups for no reason, its annoying.

Ah so the trick is to take them to a Korean restaurant...I see now :P

It must be funny for you seeing her reactions when you know so much about it already. I think it's great that she's so into it already. Music doesn't have boundaries and so many people act like it should

I feel ya. The friends that I have here that already like kpop like Infinite and hate B2ST :unimpressed: Even I'm open-minded to their favorite group, but they hate mine for whatever reason

I think its easier when you have friends that aren't interested in kpop at all LOL. Like so many times i just end up arguing with them because they say something really senseless or bash female groups for being "slutty" etc. They're all really biased and can never take sarcasm or jokes when it comes to their faves.  :soul:

Yes!!! Lol At first my friend began watching Kdramas and I told her it was only a matter of time before she received the Kpop fever. Lol She didn't believe me.

Fair enough, she came in squealing sometime ago saying that she listened to EXO's Growl and was in love. I tweeted the day before about how my sister didn't know who they were and my reply was that they were 12 fine ass boys. Lol and I included a picture as well. My friend was scrolling through her feed and she saw the picture and had to check them out. From then on, I've given her a lesson on Kpop and introduced her into new groups. I also gave her a list of songs to listen to. I really want her to get into Miss A but she hasn't hit the girl group era yet. She's stuck in the manhood. Lol

With my other friend who just recently got into Kpop as well, she started off with GG's I Got A Boy and from there, she grew into it more and founded other groups.

Both their questions were "How do you sing along?" Well... of course we ALL eventually learn how to sing along. Lol
