I can totally support as an OT3 if needed but it doesn't change my Chansoo as 2 feelings. They are the most seriously needed duet of my entire life.

Though I'd still enjoy Chankai, ngl. Something fast tempo with them would be cool. But Chanyeol and Kyungsoo sing together. And Chanyeol singing really tugs at my heart. I mean he can/as done rap with him, but when he doesn't rap he'll sing lower tones under Kyungsoo or even falsetto and it sounds really nice with them paired together.

The Star is like mostly Kai and Chanyeol as it is. All they need to do now is give them a song without a vocalist singing the chorus. ChanKai 2014 takeover. I'm so excited. It's coming

 

I think they're well liked enough that maybe SM would try it out one day. What do you think? Maybe as they start experimenting more to let them start doing some of their own stuff. 

If the way the set ups have been with radio performances are any indication then yeah, could definitely see it.

I feel bad for Sehun, but his only line in The Star was shared with Chanyeol so like...Might as well just give them a duet with Chanyeol singing the chorus with a little bit of Kai here and there.

 

They need to find a way to fit Sehun into songs though, his voice may not be pleasant to everyone in songs, but what about his fans?

 

His fans can enjoy his main role which is dancing, I guess. haha. He at least had more lines in the full album this year. Maybe the tone of MiD just didn't really fit parts for him, which is understandable. It's hard especially in a mini that's so specific for a time of year. 

 

If he keeps practicing (in private, obviously, since he isn't getting much chance to in public), maybe we'll be surprised with what else he gets to show.

Did Sehun not sing in 365? I thought that they all did lol And he's had some other small parts. I'd need to go look to really point them out. 

 

 

I think his lisp is very limiting. Two Moons was a mess, but Sehun's part especially seemed...cringeworthy? Idk. His voice is very specific imo. It's why Sm needs to find songs that will actually be complimented by him and not just find a song and decide to not include him because he doesn't fit

 

 

The problem is, why would SM cater a song for just one member when they can find another and still get an adequate amount of others included in it. Not saying I agree with that outlook, but I'm sure that's how they see it. I doubt they've really thought about "how can we make this song fit them" aside from doing so with main vocals. I can see them doing it more with his dancing, but Sehun hasn't really shown anything spectacular voice wise (in rapping or singing) for them to do that. So his lines probably are more of "what's a good one to fit him into" outlook. 

 

His voice is specific, yes, in both how he talks and the way it sounds in general. I'm sure there will be songs in the future that will fit him vocally more and give him more lines than usual, but I don't think SM will go out of their way unless they just feel it's right. If that makes sense.

So technically, yes. But it wasn't enough for me to get a good feel of what his voice really sounds like 

 

And I think he's had a couple singing lines in other songs, but they always layer someone else's voices on top of his so I can't tell what it really sounds like there either. 

 

Other than that, just raps. 

 

 

I guess all we can hope is he's working on voice lessons. My guess is that singing just really isn't a strong point for him and it's why they've limited so much of it (or added someone else in with his). 

Though there's so much I'm eager for, I have to remind myself EXO is a new group. They have so much to do and grow in. ;; Sehun's voice will likely be one of them.

True! I mean, if someone told me that Minho (or even Taemin) would be singing as much they are now back during SHINee's debut days, I would have laughed my ass off. Sehun just has to want to improve first. 

 

Exactly! And though Taemin really surprised me, even with Minho he still continues to work and the fact the entire group can sing a ballad together now and it sound nice really speaks for itself. 

 

I can see that happening in EXO, with Sehun. There's so much in store for him and the future. It's both exciting and makes me anxious. haha.

I've never really started "stanning" him but I definitely started noticing him. He was temporarily my wallpaper for a while during the summer. It was a big deal for me.

How was Sehun so low on your bias lists though? 

 

I never paid attention to him really. I mean, I did. But not enough to be overwhelmed with needing him high up on my list. It takes a while for me to get a good set in stone list anyway. I mainly had my couple of favorites and then everyone else was nice. And then over time it became more solid.

 

Sehun stepped up my bias list when EXO started doing more shows this year and I was paying attention to him some more.

Like the main thread? Yes. 

But when that thread moved 15-20 pages a day, I could easily carry a conversation along with anyone who joined in. There was no effort in keeping it active. 

Good talks and discussions, too.

It's the same with most the other posters there in the top 10. cries about memories. I miss them lol

They are unreal. It's so weird seeing them in front of you. Just a couple of feet away. Walking by. Because wow fuck they look really good and it's this huge realization that they are actually handsome creatures that exist outside of the screen; outside of edited pictures and cutesy fancams.

Can this be a Real Thing? Chen, the unofficial 7th member? So much appreciation for him. 

 

I know many people here liked OT6 promotions but screw SM if they're gonna not let EXO-K have a bite of the China fandom. I think it's only fair if K participates in China promotions as well since M joined the Korean (+ International) promotions. K deserve to be popular in China too!

 

I think the ideal promotions should be like a good balance of subunits and OT12 promotions in both countries. It was kind of awkward watching OT6 Wolf and Growl performances because I'm so not used to it.

 

K will get there, but there just needs to be focus in China first. Which there really hasn't been. Who knows what SM has in store for 2014.

Random, but I hope one day EXO is big enough and well liked enough have the reaction YoonA is having at the moment (or at least a few members). I really anticipate seeing where they go in the future and how the public receives them. Growl is still at #32 on melon when it's competition at it's time of release (Bar Bar Bar, Rum Pum Pum Pum, Do You Love Me, etc have all fallen out of the top 100 long ago) and Miracles in December is at #13 after a month and it was a special album and not even a real full blown comeback. I really think they could be SM's new "it" group like SNSD. At least I hope.

I think they can be. Anyone who denies they have the potential at this point is in denial about it, because I feel they can. Though it's looking good for them right now, we really just won't know until probably this year actually. We'll see how their music continues to be received and what they do in the future. 2014 is so exciting for EXO. 2013 really did so much for them but honestly, regardless how much they did it's only just the beginning. I truly wonder what SM has planned for 2014. They were already planning 2013 in 2012 so who even knows.
