That's all that I know of. There might be another episode of Over Radio for another song on the album, but other than that I think. Also EXO Showtime airs today, but with the whole youtube mess, we might not be able to see it subbed like usual

1 ep more for oven radio. yeah, at least there's still layearling. she/he subs not as fast as baekhundred. but we still have subbed video.

 

why exo doesn't promote like oven radio, so we can hear the live version of all the songs from this mini.

 

I don't know. I thought it  would be cool if every episode of SHOWTIME they performed an acoustic version of a song on their album. It would be so much motivation to watch the show and give fans who think the show is boring something to anticipate. SM really needs to make this show a little more interesting. I personally love it, but it seems like a typical variety show for rookies, I want SM to invest more into the show.

My nan had an operation a few weeks ago and so today I was driving her to help her with her grocery shopping, and in the car we were listening to the K version of the new mini. By the end of the trip to the shopping centre she'd already downloaded the entire mini onto her iPhone from the iTunes Store. Keep in mind she is a conservative, sometime racist, 76 year old white lady 

 

Well that's odd Glad she enjoys the awesomeness that is EXO though  

 

My step-mom also likes EXO songs (sans MAMA because she thinks it's a devil worshipping song)

 

On the topic of Kai's cornrows, I loved the style because it was different and actually looked good on him. He even said on SSTP that he thought the style was cool.

On the topic about Kai's cornrows, I don't particularly like it but I think it helps a lot in getting his charisma out in Wolf. I mean he's so charismatic in Wolf performances especially when he's sporting cornrows hairstyle, I like it.

 

On ordinary occasions tho of course I prefer his usual ordinary hair better over cornrows lol

 

Yeah I mean I agree it seems more 'Wolf'-like with the cornrows and it doesn't look that bad when performing, but when he's not performing and it's in a picture or something it looks really bad imo. Glad it didn't last too long though like only 1-2 performances if I remember correctly

 

LOL She likes SNSD but she's never taken an interest in anyone else, except for about 3 weeks ago with Missing You, Idk what's going on with her but something is :/

 

LOL tell me about it, to top it off, yesterday my 8 year old sister confessed to me she is in love with Jessica Jung and showed me a drawing book in her room full of pictures of Jessica and her going on adventures. No word of a lie. 

 

she likes SNSD too (I basically only play SNSD and EXO around her anyways). And I showed her the MV's and she said she prefers the unity look (all same outfits) over MVs such as The Boys where they are all sporting different clothes. I'm kind of the same towards Kpop. I like the unity of the groups when they're wearing the same outfit. Like when EXO performs Growl in suits they look so nice

Yeah and personally I think SM should use that. I know people think "People in America don't want 9 girls wearing the same exact thing blah blah blah" but home many people do you see do that? It would be new.

 

If SM gave them an actual decent American song that could get picked up by radio I'm sure they could do well. There always needs to be a first.

whats with Kai and Chanyeol recently... SM trying to make a ship out of these two i guess,  they obviously don't look natural. well that's what I've just noticed

 

They may not look natural always flattering each other on TV (because it wasn't until a few weeks/months ago that it started), but they are definitely close in real life in case you're saying that's why they don't look natural. If you watch fancams and videos of them months ago you see Kai and Chanyeol are definitely close and comfortable with each other.

 

The ChanKai was strong in showtime today

I think SM might want to promote them together later on in the future. ChanKai have always been closer than most people give them credit for, but all of the recent abundant fanservice between the two (on TV not in fancams) seems like a way to show fans they're close because people are always under the misconception that they aren't and don't talk much.

 

Kai is probably awkward looking because he isn't used to Chanyeol being so direct and forward (on camera), not because he isn't used Chanyeol joking with him or teasing him at all.

anyway they call them scripted because chanyeol was legit trying to make this ship looks real for the viewer and it came looks unnatural, but believe me.. i really likes chankai a lot cause before these things happened chankai is actually so adorable and dorky tgt, they still do tho

I don't want to bring this up again, but I have to say that I love this thread and feel so much comfort here. Because of being K-biased and expressing my issues with Tao in the EXO thread, I felt people had labeled me a hater, and I started to feel like an outcast in the very thread I had been posting in since Hallyu8, before all the new people arrived. There were other contributing factors, but the bottom line was, I wasn't posting in the Exo thread because it didn't feel right anymore. It was missing something and I lost all desire to partake in conversation, something I regularly did before. I didn't even have the energy to keep up with it, despite it only moving a few pages a day. This thread feels so much more like home and I actually want to get engaged. I'm going to invite some of my EXO-K biased friends from another forum here. The more the merrier.

A few things!!

 

First and foremost, MY MIRACLE IN DECEMBER ALBUMS HAVE ARRIVED!!

I'm happy to receive them! I don't know if anyone wants to avoid album spoilers, so I'm going to ramble a bit under a cut for a second.

 

 

YET AGAIN, THE POSTERS ARE SO HUGE LOL. I don't ever put up my posters but if I did, I think I'd start to worry about how my collection of EXO posters will be in the future and me trying to find room for them on the wall. Because they're always huge. I love the MID ones, though. EXO at the top has a nice shining effect that looks really good on the print~

 

There was nothing different between the album content in the booklet for each one (language aside, ofc), but I'm finding it interesting seeing who sung on what sung.

There's some people who showed up in songs that I didn't realize was there. lmao. 

Anyway, I don't want to rant too much about the snowglobes I got but I'm kind of irked because I keep getting the same people this year and every single one is an M member. I've gotten 0 K members outside of trading and it's really annoying. I hate the mixed photocards/snowglobes in the albums. It'd be a lot nicer if I knew I had a 1/6 chance of getting someone or at least knowing I can get someone of each. But nope. Every. Single. Time. I get a member from M. And it's always the same ones.

 

XOXO - (I got 4 of these) 2 Xiumin, 1 Tao, 1 Chen (through trading I did finally end up with Chanyeol and Yixing)

Growl - 1 Xiumin, ended up trading to help a friend get their bias and got 1 Chen. (Did ultimately end with Baekhyun)

MID - Chen and Tao.

 

I JUST KEEP GETTING THE SAME ONES.

GIVE ME A BREAK, SM.

In regards to ChanKai - I think a lot of you are failing to think about the fact that Chanyeol and Kai have been friends since pre-debut. They've been close since training days and while you're seeing it more openly expressed recently, this is definitely not the first of their interactions nor are they suddenly doing it out of nowhere solely for fan service. Both are friends and if they've happened to get closer, that's understandable. Groups do grow, and that's the same as the relationships within them.

 

 

 

Kyungsoo further more proving his voice is my favorite. 

The best part about this is the food in his hand while he's singing.

Mte, if he seems awkward at all. lol. Since Chanyeol's recently been more vocal about it, how he's acting has more to do with getting used to Chanyeol's open feelings in public rather than having to get used to being close to Chanyeol. It's different BTS vs making the friendship known publicly/in the spotlight.

I understand what you mean. I really loved talking in the EXO thread in H8 and even when we first moved over here to OH. It was a great group of people and despite the variety in interests for the group and the amount who participated, I felt really comfortable and always loved going in there. I always loved the way we could all keep up the effort in sharing our love for the group even through that long ass wait for a comeback. And then when the comeback was announced, experiencing that together was amazing!!

 

I'm not sure when it all really changed but I feel like speaking your open on "controversial" subjects within a group of the new people who had joined definitely leads to some sort of side eyeing/alienation. And it becomes more difficult to feel comfortable and feel like the effort to participate is worth it.

 

I'm so happy for this thread and I'm even happier to see the people who are participating again, as well as getting the chance to start over with some others.

 

SO YES, I FEEL YOU. and I'm glad to have an EXO-K thread where I get to see you joining in, Regina. I do always enjoy your posts! (and I know they won't disappear like they do on Twitter  ).

I agree with you about ChanKai. They were always overlooked because the whole fandom was stuck on "Kaisoo! Baekyeol!" but for me this is normal, just not normal on cam. If you watch them together off-cam Chanyeol is just as teasing as he recently started to be. Meh I think people really need to stop the whole "SM is forcing" mentality as soon as two members start to have a lot of interactions.

 

I'm surprised there are so many K-biased people. Like all the people I know IRL are M-biased.

 

Omg really? All of my real life Kpop friends are Kai biased like me I introduced them to EXO so naturally showed them EXO-K first since Kai is in that group and they all think he is sexy. One of them went from Kai to Baekhyun though. No one I know stans EXO-M, maybe Luhan specifically but not the whole group. LOL. This is me everytime I shop. 

 

It's kinda funny though. They wear literally thousands of dollars worth of clothing everytime they step out the house, but tell them a hat costs 60 dollars and they have a heart attack hahahah. But I guess it's different since they'd have to buy that with their own money 

 

 

Sometimes I'm really curious if they really just don't have any money, because not being able to afford a $60 hat is a little sad for someone who has had the success EXO has had this year.
