guh sehun is such a bias wrecker, last year he was my 4th exo k bias overall like 6 or 7th but then he started crawling and is now my 3rd overall bias and 2nd in K. and actually Lulu is my 3rd bias in M I like Kris more but I really liked how he looked there plus I wanted sekai and xiuhan together in my sig

 

 

I think pairing threads are different then indiv or ot6 thread, since otp's sometimes make more people get annoyed or stuff like that so its more easy to just spazz to your heart content on an otp thread plus. otp thread's for the most part are like a little treasure you have to keep all the moments of a pairing like its so much easier if you are like I want to remember this moment to just go to the otp thread that wont have that much pages to look at all the moments imagine trying to look for moments in the exo thread it would take days

 

I guess most people were not so on board with subunit thread myself included because, A) SM barely promotes them as K or M, yes they do subunits and stuff but its mainly just mixed exo rarely M or K you know and B) the exo thread honestly has been so dead lately that this might kill it even more but well we will need to wait to find out

 

They may not fully promote as EXO-K and EXO-M much anymore but it's still very apparent that they are a split group. It's always a brought up topic on variety shows and in interviews and many of their photoshoots are OT6 oriented. 

 

When you mention Chanyeol in his 30's, that was my first thought.

Though knowing how old I'll be at the time that happens, I really wonder if I'll still be keeping up enough to be affected by it. T____T

Also things I consider. 

 

Anyway, that's quite a while from now!

 

Even though I've grown out of Kpop considerably, I'm still as much in love with Taeyeon as I was in 2009-2010 when I first got into it. I feel a personal attatchment to Taeyeon and Kai specifically to the point where I feel myself wanting to see them grow up and mature into men and women outside of the typical idol field. 

 

For example, I'd like to see how Kai manages himself once EXO stops promoting, even if I'm not like "OMG KAI!" anymore, I still feel I'd be interested and would support him.

Not to come in seeming negative but I've been listening to "First Snow" and I was sad to realize that Sehun doesn't even have a vocal line, only a short speaking part in the second verse. It's very disappointing that him and Suho have so little in the release! Much appreciation for how much we get to hear Chanyeol and Kai as opposed to usual though.

 

It's fine. Discussion of any sort is welcome as long as it isn't blatant bashing of the members of either unit. I think many will agree that the amount of lines given to Sehun is rather upsetting because although he might not be the best singer or rapper, he is still a part of the group. If SM wants his fans to buy the albums they should have the decency to have him on the album more than he is right now. 

 

Even in "The Star" the more rapper oriented song on the album, he had one line I think and it was shared with Chanyeol so it wasn't even a solo line. It's rather sad just how little he gets.

 

Suho is something I just don't get. He has an amazing voice so I fail to understand why SM doesn't utilize it more. The fact that he, as a vocalist, doesn't have many lines on this album just shows SM is terrible at distribution of lines. The OT3 songs should have incorporated more of the other vocalists in the group instead of shafting them.

Guys, may I ask, how do you think news and stuff are going to be posted from now on? How are the three threads going to coexist? Do you think everything significant should be duplicated? Or maybe is this thread for side-discussions and appreciation only? I am kind of confused tbh:(

 

I'll update all news on EXO-K members. I don't think it will be hard to co-exist. Many members here will still use the EXO thread and many members here might only use this thread for updates. Eitherway the EXO thread won't die. I think people will get over this pretty soon. 

 

I plan on updating activities and projects for the members so it's not only side discussions and appreciation. Think of it as a normal artist thread

That's becoming less and less of truth.  People on variety shows and interviews recognize and introduce them as EXO-K and EXO-M only because that was their original introduction (and so that's pretty much ALL u know about them).  But as you can see, the lines between both groups are getting more blurred as times go on... i.e., MIB album had a mix of members of both participating in the singing and rapping.  They are definitely not a split group because SM's marketing strategy has changed drastically ... they've realized the selling power of 12 (i.e., why did fans go bezerk when they found out the album was going to be promoted by only 3 yet SM called it EXO) and so have adjusted accordingly.

 

There are many reasons why separate OT6 threads are troublesome (for K and M) and already you can see certain users bashing other "non EXO-K" members, which is not only distasteful but can only divide the group and fandom in the long run.  But obv, its your thread do whatever you want with it.

 

Regardless there are people who prefer one sub-unit over the other or just appreciate a place to discuss one sub-unit. Majority of EXO fans I know fell in love with EXO while they were still mainly known by EXO-K and EXO-M so they know them by their sub-groups. Even if they don't promote as 6 much anymore, it doesn't mean the sub-groups doesn't exist.

 

And there are people who don't feel comfrotable posting in the OT12 thread so there needs to be a place for them to go so they can show their love and appreciate for EXO as well. It's not fair to not allow them to have a place to post, just because people don't want the sub-groups to have their own thread.

 

Anyways I'm not going to argue in the thread over it.

I'm fine with OT12 title tracks but i'm 100% against them making the other tracks with all 12 too. XOXO promotion is perfect for EXO.

 

I really hope this Christmas albums isn't foreshadowing what's happening next :/

I completely agree. While it's obvious certain members have focal positions and he's mainly a dancer I just find it very unfair to completely neglect him musically. I actually think Sehun has a nice tone and he's obviously very desirable with his own set market of fans who are expecting something. SM seems to make it harder on themselves with people's opinions on their talent when they refuse to give them proper line distribution and even other resources that can better showcase them-- the obvious of that being split them back into their units.

 

Suho's voice has such a celestial timbre and he would have been lovely featuring with the other vocalists; and they know he can do it. Angel is still one of my favourites.

 

Yes. His parts are some of my favorites in their vocal line songs. I love his voice in Angel, Don't Go (Not a vocal line song but still), and Baby Don't Cry. SM needs to stop putting him on the backburner.

Yeah but it needs to be updated. Though I honestly like the picture and have minimal complaints. My small problem is that you can't see Kai's face well because he is facing backwards.

I think people will get confused about posting pic/updating schedules and everything else...we'll end up abandoning the EXO thread or post OT12 pics/news in both M & K threads 

but it's just my opinion,if more users feel better this way it's not something I can complain about

OMG IM FINALLY HOME! Now it is time for that post I mentioned this morning. This post is about an EXO-K ship that doesn't get talked about much. I'm talking about the brotherly relationship of SESOO! Sehun and Kyungsoo!

I LOVE ALL OTPs in EXO. They are all real! lol

 

I don't understand why people are under the impression that EXO-K aren't close. It's the biggest misconception of the group. From what I tend to see (at least on this forum) is people seem to think EXO-M are all close and buddy buddy but EXO-K is strictly business or something.

 

EXO-M is close and EXO-K is close and many of the members are close with members in different sub-groups. I just for the life of me can't see why people think EXO-K don't have any close relationships.

 

I haven't even been in the new Kai thread yet. I have more free time now, so I will be more active. I typically only lurk these days.

And yeah, I never got that either. EXO-K are just as close to eachother as EXO-M. But if you're not as interested in EXO-K then of course you won't be able to see how close they are. A lot of the people who say that dumb stuff don't like K. 

 

And people put too much stock in what they see (or don't see) and seem to forget that we are just fans who don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes.

For example, Chanyeol and Kai!

If you are not interested in Kai or Chanyeol, you can't realize how close they are. Firstly, I don't think Kai is close with Chanyeol but when I started to buy some goods from Kai's fansites, from their fancam, I can see Kai interact a lot with Chanyeol and they are so cute together!

 

I feel like many people don't realize just how often Chanyeol watches out and takes care of Kai. I don't think people realize how young Kai is and I guess because he is the overall face of the group and looks so mature on stage people don't see him as someone so young. Everytime I see him cry for something it just reminds me that he's so young and more importantly he's passionate about what he does. You can tell he's truly grateful for all the success EXO has achieved and all that the fans have done for them. 

 

I'm glad Chanyeol is always there for him too. Personally I feel Chanyeol views him as a younger brother. They have such an honest friendship
