Official EXO-K Thread

My question will forever be why if there is an Official EXO Thread, must there be threads for K & M? If you like one unit more than the other, or dislike EXO-M for whichever reason (which would be wrong) you could just skip posts about them in the Offical EXO Thread. That way, the thread gets more posts, love and recognition. Plus, threads like these could bring unwanted fights.

 

Not a rant or anything, I'm just saying...

Well as I said before, EXO-M's thread was made so I made this one. I never thought of making an EXO-K thread, but some people feel more comfortable posting here rather than in the OT12 thread. I see no problem with these threads if it's making lurkers come out.

If you want pics and gifs, Tumblr is a great place! To me the most fun thing about the artist threads is the discussion. While spazzing over pictures and sharing things like that is undoubtedly fun, I love the conversation and getting to talk to other fans!!

I think the environments for threads do feel really different, and that makes people feel more or less comfortable in posting there. I already feel a different environment in this thread than the main for instance. It's not a bad thing at all, but definitely different. It's not about disliking another group or feeling too lazy to skip over/ignore posts, but it really all comes down to what you're surrounded by and if someone wants to focus on one particular unit, it is really easy to emerge yourself in a place that is based off nothing but that particular interest because no matter what post you make, you're always going to have someone interested in it.

 

Also some people can be very judgmental (whether silently or what have you) about people's preference in sub-unit or if they lack interest in one half of the group. While that may not be the case with the people in the main thread, it's very much the case within the fandom. I see it all the time when people get very up in arms about "needing to support OT12 or you aren't a real fan" the moment someone mentions OT6 or only liking/preferring K/M. So some people find it hard to feel comfortable enough to mingle among others when that's the case.

 

There really isn't any drama or a big deal at all about there being separate threads. The only people complaining about it are those upset that it might lessen activity in the EXO main thread. The thing that baffles me the most is there has been several posts now with people coming in here and saying this doesn't feel right or asking why there has to be individual unit threads, but nobody is trying to bring up this conversation in M's thread from what I can see.

 

I think it's possible for people to enjoy all three threads and if they don't, then it's possible for them to enjoy just the thread they want. It's nothing that's a big deal.

Kai looked sexy with those braids. Like, I know people freaked out because of how different it was but I, on the other hand, was all about that life. He pulled them off really well.

Again, thank you too for answering my question. I have nothing against this thread or OP because sincerely, I really like EXO-K. So I will post here from time to time plus lurk a lot. I really didn't know people felt uncomfortable posting in the main thread and I guess its better if they post in an individual unit thread rather than not posting at all. Again, thanks!
