Aww yiss.

But I'm wondering why they're releasing the digitals at noon. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Has SM done this for other groups/artists?

They haven't this year  :._.:

I remember one of EXO's comebacks last year being a MESS (Call Me Baby I think???) and them releasing the song at a weird time... there's still time to change it, but atm I'm not too concerned with their digital performance...

There needs to be more articles/interviews from insiders that provide insight into how and why they use this business strategy. Cause I'm so confused as to why SM would go about things in such a manner. Aren't digitals so much easier to distribute than physicals given they don't need to worry about printing and shipping? Why would they shaft themselves when it comes to digitals

I'm thinking it has something to do with them releasing it on a Sunday?? Maybe they have some data that Sunday's digitals perform differently than weekdays and noon on Sunday is better than midnight?? I really have no idea tbh, but that's the only thing I can think of...

that's good.... but that's because they're from SM. I don't think they'll follow the path of SHINee, or SJ or EXO if SM keeps pushing NCT confusing system (even fans don't quite understand how this works). EXO doing really well after they unite, so I hope SM stops with the undecided members system because it wont work in Korea. The Korean unit will be a wall and the other cities gonna flop. Just debut a whole permanent team for god sake! Debut in Korea then follow up to the next countries, just like any other groups.\

I have also wondered why SM artists always seem to release their new albums/songs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday etc.. and not right at the beginning of the week.

I mean I often see groups from other companies release their new song midnight between Sunday and Monday so that their new songs and album have full week time to chart and rank high as possible on the weekly charts and have as high as possible sales points on music shows next week because they had full 7 days time to chart instead of 4 or 5 days like some SM groups who released their song/album middle of the week.

I think sm is just kinda cocky with this stuff like a lot of the time their artists could win with just their physical points alone

Kinda reminds me how billboard was talking about EX'act and how it could have charter high on billboards 100 but SM released the song at a bad time and it only had a day to chart and it killed that week on Spotify and iTunes making it that the album would have done well billboard wise and if I am not mistaking monster alone has 5,000 downloads which is amazing for a song and not the album
