BEAST speaks up about Hyunseungs departure

Recommended Posts

it's refreshing that they are actually talking about it instead of pretending like he was never there. I wish the best for beast as well as JS. I hope they all do things they want to do.

Of course, I don't really believe the "musical differences" since there was a lot of commentary surrounding his departure and how it was demanded by their fandom and cube buckled, but whats done is done. I hope beast as 5 stick around for a really long time.

"Jang Hyunseung's energy is very much stronger than other members on stage"

I agree with this a lot. Ribbon's vocal color more or less stayed the same, but the choreography feels very different with Hyunseung no longer leading it. ; n ; I'm also glad they could actually talk about it, it made it seem like they've really had a thorough talk and amiable settlement, which is always a good thing.

Still, it always takes time for a group to readjust to the missing space of the members who left. Good luck to both BEAST and Hyunseung!

I disagree though. Music differences I think had a big part of it considering he started being distant was when Junhyung took the reins as the groups producer and stirred it in a more lyrical direction starting with Shadow (Yoseobs Caffeine to be exact. I think the success of Caffeine was why Cube gave him the responsibility.) Good Luck was probably the most happy he was with the group since Junhyung took over and the song probably had a lot to do with it.

Part of the fandom probably turned their back on him but I don't think it would have changed the inevitable outcome of him leaving. It just didn't happen as smooth or less messy as it should have been.

I don't think he left just because he has a different musical taste than the others. Probably we'll never know what are the real reasons, but is nice to hear members acknowledge him, his contribution to the group and not pretending he never existed. I wish Beast and Hyunseung all the best!

Its nice to see idols being sincere and transparent (although not 100% obviously) for the first time. And the fact that they support Hyunseung's future activities make me see them in a mature light.

Finally, proper way to talk about losing a member. I never understand, why in kpop world, when someone left, the rest don't want to talk about it, pretend something's didn't happen and even delete any scenes that contained ex-member. Do agencies think they're "Man in Black" agents who can erase people's memory?

Hmm.. But they all basically said the same thing. I wanna know how Junhyung feels

I don't think Junhyung will say anything. Hyunseung and Junhyung weren't on good terms with each other (they tolerate each other tho). Nobody knows why, maybe we'll never know, but it was very obvious.

But I'm glad they answered in such a nice way. It almost made me cry :rlytearpls:

You can see that they know the group will have that void, cause Seungie is not there. but at the same time, they gotta move on, of course. So support BEAST and Hyunseung! :chu:
