people would tell stories and pray for salvation.

 

It was then that a guru would appear, banishing the darkness.

 

However, once peace came, the gurus would vanish...

But just where they disappeared to...no one knows the answer to that.

 

Before they were aware, they disappeared from people's memories,

only to be called legends.

 

But the darkness...is about to cover the world once more.

I can't believe it's been that long...seems like just yesterday they were celebrating their 10th anniversary. I was translating the info back then, too. (It ended up being Tales of the Abyss.)

Haha, maybe a bit. The kanji for the word for "guru" just means some sort of teacher/master with a religious background. The word "sage" would work, too.

Only problem is it will take a while for it to be localized (if ever). I just hope its a bit more futuristic, after playing so many Tales games I'm getting tired of the same medieval setting dealing with "lost ancient technology".

 

Just order the Japanese version! People usually create guides and translate the script for others who can't speak Japanese.

 

As for the setting, I'll wait to judge. I'm more interested in who will sing the theme song. They always pick a big mainstream artist

who's next haha. For some reason the idea of Kaho being the singer just popped in my head. Highly doubt it but i'm typing it just in case it's true. 

 

most likely for current gen also i'm thinking. Xillia 2 came out in 2012 in japan. That's not a whole lotta time to learn and develop a game for a new console. But that means a new ps3/xbox (or just ps3) Tales game in the west in like 2015 at the earliest which would be weird since they're probably the number 2 jrpg franchise after FF now.

i've only played Vesperia, Graces, and Eternia (did not beat this one) so i didn't know who else did theme songs. Starting Xillia soon though. Hahah Sakanaction would be a funny choice.

I've played most of the mothership titles in some form or another. The only ones I haven't quite finished are Hearts and the last several hours of Rebirth. Innocence is probably the strangest Tales game out of all of them. At the end I'm pretty sure my face was like this ----->

 

I've played some of the earlier spin-offs, too. The Narikiri Dungeon GBA games are worth hunting down if you like tactical RPGs.

 

They're really hyping up this stream, so I have to wonder how much info they'll give on this new game.
