The Big 3 In Q2 Of 2016

Q2 means April to June.. Time goes by so fast.. I can't believe were already in July.. ffs .. anyway here are what the Big 3 had to offer in the second quarter of 2016!

 

SM has been giving solos to their artists left and right.. its pretty shocking tbh... and the SM Station has been going strong putting out music every week.. NCT U's without you was a bop and Luna's mini album was a+ in terms of quality.. and EXO are continuously serving some rnb realness tbh.. best album yet! but honestly Taeyeon is still the reigning queen when it comes to SM... I absolutely loved her mini... it was almost as good as her debut album last year... the SM Station songs haven't been to my liking tbh... I liked 3 songs in total Wave and Touch You and also the goddess BoA 's song with Beenzino! <3

YG are moving forward with their new gen artists with comebacks from AkMu, Lee Hi, Ikon and the announcement of Mino & Bobby solos as well as Black Pink! [im looking forward to them].. although I would have liked more music from them .. AkMu had an amazing mini with 3 songs still on my playlist.. but Lee Hi's full album isn't as good as her mini album in March tbh.. it was nice to see One again.. but tbh he didn't impress me that much... and Ikon had a song too.. it was okay

JYP had a great quarter with JYP girls slaying the charts! and self composed music from G Soul, JYP, Yerin and Ayeon.... I love that JYP is experimenting with more genres like Reggae and Latin-esque beats.. I liked alot of their releases but I didn't LOVE them as I hoped I would.... G Soul's WDWGFH is still the song of the year for me [so far] and Yerin's BBMB was so good too! lets not forget Cheer Up :')

I liked alot of the music and I love the fact that the big 3 are stepping up and proving to everyone that they are the top 3 for a reason! biggest standouts for me are definitely Taeyeon, BoA, G Soul & AkMu.. altho I liked alot more! so YEA~ what do you guys think?! who did you like.. who surprised you with their music!~

JYP was the most consistent for me. But I liked Akmu, EXO, and The 7th Sense quite a bit too.

 

At this point I've started ignoring SM Station releases unless they get buzz past a day or two. More music is good but I'm not sure their strategy is working out.

SM deffo had the most experimental music, they attacked basically all genre's with Station.
