Do you guys know the best way to level up S cards? Should I be sacrificing A cards to do it? Because sacrificing just one costs like 6000 RP and from my experience, it usually doesn't even work so that's 6000 RP wasted.

It can be frustrating failing so much but I wouldn't recommend using A cards simply because they're so hard to come by especially at this stage of the game. The chances even with 1star Bs are pretty good anyway so I'd just use them.

It takes a lot of them but I level up all my cards from C - S 3* using mostly C and some B cards ^^ After my S cards hit 3* I start using mostly B cards and the occasional A card ^^

I was playing earlier and I tried to get 1 mil score on this song, and when I 2 starred it I had about 830K score without any Rave bonus, and then after a second try I 3 starred it but my score was 600k ish with a 250k ish Rave bonus resulting in basically almost the exact same score.

 

How does this happen? Is this what they talked about a couple pages ago about being unlucky with random cards?

Yep, cards are random each time you play, so depending on the order, you can have different scores although mastering it 100% both times

Miss A: S4 Suzy, S4 Fei, S3 Min, all are Colours

 

Baek A Yeon: S4 Vocal, S3 Rhythm, A5 Dance, all are Throbbing

 

15&: S1 Vocals, A3 Baek Yerin Dance, A1 Park Jimin Dance, having theme problems here, it's all over the place

 

Twice: S1 Nayeon, A3 Mina, A1 of everyone else except for B4 Tzuyu, who also kills the Cheer Up theme conveniently enough along with Jihyo

 

Still waiting to get Twice out of there but it's definitely not happening anytime soon, thinking of biting the bullet on them lol, no one outside of my top 5 is close to my Twice team

 

This last event help me get that Jimin Dance and WG Sunmi that I needed so that's nice

Honestly mine haven't changed a great deal directly due to the event but I don't think I've listed them anyway yet so I might as well:

WG - Reboot - A5 Yeeun, S3 Sunmi, B5 Yubin (haven't got a B Yubin in ages), S5 Lim (with another S in the waiting)

 

Miss A -  A1 Fei (Hush), R1 Min, S1 Suzy (both Love Song)

 

2PM - A1 Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung and S1 Junho (all Go Crazy), S1 Taecyeon (My House), A1 Chansung (Nobody Else)

 

Sunmi - A2 Vocal (Full Moon), A1 Dance (24 Hours), A1 Rhythm (Time)

 

GOT7 - S2 Jinyoung, A1 BamBam, B2 Yugyeom, B1 JB, B1 Mark (All Fly), A4 Jackson, A1 Youngjae (both Mad)

 

Yeah you can probably tell which group(s) I put the most effort into upgrading just from that. Also I didn't realise quite how messy my themes were until I typed them all out like that, blimey. I've got some work to do.

I'm currently 7th in my league(Gold I) with a total score of 11,789,973. Events didn't help me much, I just got useless A cards for groups I don't really bother with except during challenges. 

 

P.S. Superstar JYP seems to be extremely stingy when it comes to giving out premium packs and/or S cards as compared to Superstar SM

How does one get good at this game? ;_;

 

You have to practice hard mode several times to get the hang of it. I started out playing easy mode, then normal mode before eventually moving on to hard mode. When you get 5 songs from 5 different artistes that you are confident with, keep on practicing those songs on hard mode without caring for the other songs. Ensure that your cards are of the same theme and be sure to be very patient when upgrading cards as things don't always go your way. NEVER power up C cards and do not use A cards for any power-ups unless it's absolutely necessary(like powering up a S4 to S5 for example).Also ensure that you don't do too well for challenges as you are your own enemy in challenges so if you do too well for one song in a challenge, then you are pretty much dead when that same song becomes a challenge in the future. Be active in events too as events will give out additional RP,premium packs,diamonds and other useful material. Do not play your best(or don't play at all) when a new league starts until the latter stages as you will need to figure out your opponents first. Giving it your all at the start of a new league allows your opponents to see how good/bad you are and you can easily be overtaken in the latter stages.

 

Last but not least, make sure that your top 5 consists of groups/solos that have only 3 or 4 cards, reason being it's a lot cheaper and easier to upgrade these groups to a higher grade. (Only reason why Twice is in my Top 5 is because I'm a Once lol)

I started with the intention of completing all the modes in 3 stars first too, Easy was way too easy to do, but I haven't been able to 3 star a bunch of the faster Normal mode songs yet and it's making me feel like rhythm games aren't meant for me

I tried a Hard song yesterday just to see how much harder they get and I only got 1 star..

 

As for my cards, I have a bunch of A's because of the event and 1 S card, but other than that I've been levelling C's into B's for the groups I like while using the recommended button when Powering up cards. Am I supposed to select cards manually so that I'm sure it's not using cards I might need or something?

 

I was rank 1 in my current league (Bronze 2) but I have dropped to rank 6 now ;_;

I guess I should level up some more cards and try to get 3 stars on some other songs and that should probably keep me in the top 5 for next week

 

But often when I'm playing a song, it tells me I missed the note eventhough I clearly hit it right

as if it's lagging behind or something? Maybe I just need to get used to how some specific moves are done or whatever

My GOT7 can't even make it now...

 

Once i have 20k RP, i will upgrade that Baek A Yeon A card into a S card.

 

But i realize, the lesser the artist, the more points i can get even if i don't get the cards to 5 full stars.

Well I'm glad they finally added I Feel You and while I certainly won't be getting top 3 next week and nor will I get promoted this week, the event is still welcome.
