Have you guys already tried buying from the ygeshop? I still haven't received any confirmation about my purchase OTL

Not yet ,I usually buy from their ebay shop. I was hoping the sechs kies merchandise would appear there too...

 

I normally buy from yeasia but the only sechskies related thing there is the Reply 1997 ost, so I went straight to ygeshop...

 

But no confirmation yet, probably because it's Chuseok holiday there.. ;; - ;;

Apparently they are not selling the lightsticks anymore cos batteries are not allowed in the customs TT-TT

lol ebay is the last option.. but seems like there are only 3 merch there (cushion, windbreaker and lightstick) so I will still buy the other stuff in ygeshop..

I was bored and watching some old kpop videos on youtube until I came across IC's videos. Then I saw them performing couple. 

 

I watched the episodes, and recent shows they were in.

 

I was never a fan (and I was too young to know them back then ofc) and I preferred HOT over them. 

 

But now, I became a DSF.

 

Also, Kang Sunghoon never aged. And his face reminds of Lee DongHae! IMO, they have same smile. 

 

Anyway, looking forward to their future songs. 

 

PS. I so love their song "COUPLE" Sunghoon has such a sweet voice!

I everyone I'm a new fan. I can't wait for the new album! I hope they'll make a repackaged album (idk If they can do it) or something..

I'm also watching Flower crew with Jiwon e Jaejin. I think the flower crew team have to come up with more ideas to make the show more fun, cause til now it's all on the cast. But I will continue to watch it , mainly for the new Jae Jae couple LOL 

I love how awkward they are.

Everyone says Jiwon it's really funny, I never watch a tvshow with him, but till now he seems pretty quiet and maybe tired idk. 

 

YAY~~ Welcome to the thread!! I so agree with you on the repackaged album! I love how they remixed the "School Song" it sounds so cool now and I want a clear version of that song. 

 

I'm a bad fan... but I haven't been keeping up well with Flower Crew. It's just not really to my taste.   Like once they send another person to muddy road or they use a ticket to transfer to flower road and I'm just like... that's it?

 

Sorry jaejin and jiwon oppa... i really tried. Is it just me though... but I don't think Jiwon's feeling this show too? He doesn't look comfortable with the other members. I agree with you, he looks tired and not really that into the show. I don't see chemistry with the cast yet, so I really find it hard to enjoy the show. Not only does the concept feels quite bland, the members are still way too awkward. I think it needs to start with the members getting along as one. The concept of the show gives off an unhealthy competitive vibe. Like the original members are still set in their own group? (but that's just me, I think I'm better off dropping the show actually than to get the wrong ideas hahaha)

 

Once Jiwon gets into the show, that's when he shines. If you want to see what Jiwon is really like on variety, I suggest you give one episode of 1n2d a try.

Or you can also watch New Journey to the West, each ep is just around 10 mins long. ^_^

 

Which makes me wish that Gurachacha (that chuseok special Jiwon did on KBS) could be a regular show. It was so fun and the members got along immediately and the concept is interesting and nostalgic at the same time. Like they try to live in a certain era, like in the chuseok ep, they did the year 1983. 

 

I'm so excited for Sechskies new MV. T_T I feel like DSP scammed them from good, decent MVs and you could tell the members still feel bad about their cheaply made MVs. So I'm totally looking forward to a new one!

Jiwon is a member of Idiot Avenger so he is funny and dumb haha but we have two Jiwon: one in variety and other as Sechs Kies leader

 

i agree with you when you said about unhealthy competitive, like everyone is betraying each other and the concept is always like that, plus to our Sechies members i like Junhwan and Byungjae so i will keep watching and see if the show become more interesting

 

to me i'm expecting a best album, because YG remasterized everything so i want this in one album since the 90's version are so LQ.Aaah the mv i really hope that will be a good one, and the song was made by Tablo so i am expecting that would be good and a big mv production.

 

Yeah! I love how he can go switch from his two sides as the charismatic leader and the variety Eun Choding. Now that you remind me of Idiot Avenger... just recently, I saw a post showing Jiwon's card when he was in elementary grade. And he actually got an "outstanding" grade consistently all through out except one time on one subject, in which he got a grade next to "outstanding" which is "excellent".. o_o he probably wasn't kidding when he said he has an iq of 160 hahahahaha

 

I really hope the show improves for the sake of the members. ;; - ;; I'm looking forward to that game I saw on vlive with the members doing different poses though, I hope they show that next ep.

 

Right? I want one! They did say they re-recorded so many songs for the concert, so I hope that means they could release it. If not, I will content myself with a concert DVD! I hope they release one soon. Yup~ totally excited for a big MV production!

i'm rewatching some shows with all original idols members and one thing get me thinking haha

 

Suwon and Jaeduc said when they disband they want to form a group same as JTL but Jaejin said no, always making excuse to not meet the others and do a group, so i was thinking what would be if J-Walk was a trio not a duo 

if the things would be different, since Jaejin stayed out of media for so long if with a group he would not be.

They said about that in "Hansome boys of 20th century' ep 10 but i undestand them because Jaejin is a hard person.

I always think that they break up was DSP fault and after IC i was sure hahah, Jiwon already said that he act immature and said 'break up' so soon, but 5 years would be they really end? how can they being sucefull until today?

i always throught Shinhwa as the only one, so i cant imagine if one other original group maintained popular

 

Ahh.. hahaha I think the last ep of 20thCHB that I've watched with subs is ep 9.. XD Jaejin did say he took the disbandment hard. So I'm glad they are back today.

 

Yeah, DSP is really the one at fault. The members don't even mince with their words when they say it's the management. And how they were thrown aside for another group.. tsk, after putting DSP as one of top agencies this was how they chose to treat jekki.. Well, they got a real good taste of karma now.. sigh.. They ended after 3 years~ hehehe not 5. But still, the success they achieved in such a short period of time is no joke. 

 

Anyways.. been seeing a bunch of updates on twitter.. so awesome seeing jaeduk with his hair dyed. And jiwon's diligently updating his IG with pics with the members as well! <3

i said 5 because the contract before for everyone was 5 years, but they didnt have a contract so they could break up when they wanted, i said if they disband happen in H.O.T year /that was what i tried to say ahah/; if they could have more time not only 3

LOL I don't think anyone can beat Suwon as the most savage member. He even said how he can't remember the mean stuff he told Tablo cos he says a lot of bad stuff to other people. He doesn't say a lot, but when he does say something, he surely is gonna drop a huge bomb on you. XD

  

I think it has a lot to do with their Infinity Challenge episodes too, since that gave a lot of viewers a chance to see them for the first time and it was easy to like and admire them. 

 

And of course Jiwon has been on variety for years and has a lot of fans from that.

I kinda felt sad when he said that... Cos I'm reminded of that subway ride on NJTTW where him and Sugeun were like total unknowns. And I also remember how hard his Chinese fans tried to meet him especially during season 1... but they missed him at the airport. :( And there's me too...... .__.

I'm happy that the article was translated   I'm one of those people who got interested in them thanks to IC and then fell for them more both because of their old and new stuff... not just bc of their company (though if that's what got you interested it's nothing bad with it,   ) It makes me sad, they so often talk down their own likeability and success     And then I think about how they always talk about how they got scolded for all those things back in they day and some other stories I've read....

Lol, that remind me of one of the funniest rumors about Suwon I read on an old website: "He is quiet and most people think he's shy and innocent. But the truth is...he just doesn't bother to talk. The rumor has it that Suwon knows more racy jokes than any other Jekki members...and often mortifies Jiwon with them. "

Any variety with the entire jekki gang would be very much appreciated. You could already see the amazing banter and chemistry they have on their vlives, I'm sure they would have more stuff to show on an actual reality show.

 

 

I thought Jiwon would be too busy to do NJTTW. It's great to see him still doing other variety shows. His chemistry with the old 2D1N crew is the best. 

 

 

I worried about this too. I really never thought season 3 would be coming this soon. Season 2 aired just around the time of sechskies reunion. And yep 1n2d s1 chemistry is really the best... esp when went all the way when it comes to spontaneity.

same here. Jaehyun has really grown on me. Maybe it's coz it's been a while since I watched S1. I actually find S2 a lot better. (or maybe I just haven't seen Seung Gi enough lately, lol). I hope Na PD will continue to do more seasons so we can have a season with Seung Gi back in it along with Jaehyun too.

 

Season 2 is a lot better for me too. The games in season 1 weren't as dynamic as the games in season 2. The episodes were also very short but in season 2 the editing is much better and not as abrupt.

 I'm curious too! I don't think it's the album (I don't think they could have finished it yet?) and since Big Bang is coming out with their album later too... I think at most it could be a song music-wise? And this is just me pondering, but I feel like the album could be later towards their anniversary so they could promote it w/ 20th anniversary album or so? Who knows 

 

I hope for more events (fan meeting maybe?), performances & variety appearances at least...

 

I'm leaning towards the variety show route.. But yep, I like that idea! A new album for their 20th anniversary!

 

Anyways... Poor Sunghoon... D: Fans should always know their boundaries, sigh. She even went all the way to his official page. Wow.

Another question.. Have you guys checked out the fanfic What I Did for Love by Val? For those who got into asian fanfic reading pretty early, I heard this is the story most people have read for the first time. Like it actually apparently is very huge in fanfic community. It was a long time ago, maybe 2 or so years back.. there was even a time where I read the author herself being interviewed cos of this fanfic!

 

And I'm just amazed that it actually features Sechskies... cos most people who have read it have no idea who Sechskies is.. :D In today's standards... the story is pretty cliche, but I love how much impact it has made. Just like jekki hehehe

yes! the what i did for love fanfic was the most popular fanfic around. even non sechskies fans read it and loved it. it was super popular in the early 2000's.

the author was interviewed? i have not seen that yet...so interesting

 

I read the interview in some very old forum around 2 years ago... so I can't recall how I even found it. XD I'm trying to google it again, but I can't find it anymore.
