Positive news for the late performer’s family below… The entertainer was slain at 23 by the president of her fan club Yolanda Saldivar in 1995 and saw her life’s story told in the biopic ‘Selena’ in which she was portrayed by Jennifer Lopez. This week, her family have learned that her legacy is to be celebrated by the entertainment community. How? The awarding of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame selection committee announced: The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is thrilled to announce our newest honorees to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Committee looked carefully at each nominee and we feel that we have selected a great group of talent that will appeal to the tastes of many fans around the world.
