Should FlOWER introduce another Vocalist?

As you guys know the other two Vocalists left, Chiharu left in 2014 and Kyoka left in late 2015 leaving only Reina as the remaining Vocalist, which leads to Performances like this:

She sings the entire song on her own with the performers of Flower dancing, it just feels a bit empty...

As opposed to how she sang with Kyoka

and how all three of the Vocals (Reina, Kyoka and Chiharu) sang together.

What do you guys think? It upsets me as a fan seeing so many member changes and Reina must at times feel under pressure or strained to sing these songs alone.

But isn't it just like a soloist? They sing all the songs themselves as well? I'll admit I don't know anything about Flower but all the other members don't sing at all? Is she just the singer and the rest are performers?

Yep. The Rest are performers and choreographers of the Group.

The Vocalists were originally 3 members but two left.

I mean, I wouldn't be opposed to it, because it's nice to have vocals that contrast each other and potentially mesh well. But, so far, they seem to be doing a good job carrying on with just Reina doing the vocals. Unless it becomes a huge struggle for Reina or the group/company decides that the change is needed, I don't know if LDH will eventually add another vocalist.

yep.. 1 is not enough.

2 vocalist is essential because harmonization can do wonder.

however i hope LDH can find any vocalist who can match reina skill + passion, because sub-par vocalist will bring a group more harm.

This is true, but some of the songs are designed for two or more Vocalists so I can imagine it's difficult for her, and they are still a Group at the end of the day, not Reina + the Performers. But I think loads of fans would be opposed to adding members to the lineup >.<

Like here when Juju covers their lines, it sounds so good :)

That's an interesting team dynamic. One singer and the rest performers - why doesn't she just go solo solo?

FLOWER initially started as a Dance Group actually, then 3 Vocalists were added after a Survival Show, and 2 left one by one in 2014 and 2105, there is Reina left and mind you, her voice is good enough for 3 people but I still hope LDH adds another girl, to even it out.

and there is no point in her going solo, when FLOWER is very much a performance based group and have been from the start, and still achieved amazing success, it's a completely different dynamic to KPOP.

Not this again.

Flower has said before that they discussed the subject as a group and they came to the conclusion that they don't want a new vocalist. That's really all there is to it. They may decide they want another one someday, but the group seems perfectly happy right now with their current lineup, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Yeah, some of the songs Flower has that gave Chiharu or Kyoka a fair amount of lines sound better with more than one person singing.

As for fan reactions, I don't know about their Japanese fans, but I've seen quite a few of their international fans express that they'd like to have more than one vocalist in the group again. I think perhaps a 50/50 reaction from fans if that were to happen. I think the potential problem quite a few may have if they were to add someone new is that people may still complain about the line distribution if Reina still gets a good chunk of the parts.

because LDH group is consist of performer (dancer not singing) and vocalist (vocal but doesn't dance),

LDH company are the one who acknowledge dancing as essential talent. people who good and passionate at dancing are deserve to be a star to... however, LDH doesn't wan't people who doesn't good at singing to sing, because it just bring down the group. that why they separate their member into performer and vocalist, because they want people on this group just focusing in what they good at it.So the performer just focusing in dancing, while vocal just focusing in singing (because dancing while singing can distract your vocal performance).

most of the group on LDH company are consist of dancer (who don't sing) such as EXILE, JBS, generation, FLower, Happiness, etc. and they put 1 or two vocalist on each group.

unless Reina can handle everythings on her own, I guess it's okay. The only problem with me is that Reina is also a main vocalist in EG. What would happen to her if EG and Flower promotions overlap (like tours for example)? This could happen both groups have different labels and Flower's popularity is growing

Heck yes. It puts me off with what happened to them because now this group doesn't seem like a group, they're more like a solo act Washio Reina and the Flowers or Washio Reina and her backup dancers.

The old Flower with 2-3 vocalists was much better because there were harmonies, with Reina alone carrying whole song by herself, her voice sounds flat and struggling to hit notes.
