k-entertainment companies that are falling fast vs companies that are on the rise?

falling fast:

cube - 4minute disbandment, beast's drop in success (tho they might rebound with their upcoming comeback), clc's flopping

fnc - aoa scandal, flop rookie nflying, bad public image, cnblue's drop in success, stock scandal

rising companies:

imo, all companies with currently trending groups are "on the rise". one more super successful act and they'll be able to compete with other well known companies

bighit -bts

source music - gf

rainbow bridge - mamamoo

thoughts? opinions?

u forgot the G.NA scandal that was definitely the 1st major blow they took this year

BTS continuous success definitely shows BIGHIT's potential but obviously as we've seen with the likes of Wollim, Pledis, etc it takes more than ONE massively successful artist to really start shining like Cube did when they hit the jackpot with BEAST, 4minute, Huh Gak, and G.NA all slaying the charts around the same year

all they have to bank out off besides BTS is Homme and its been 5 years since their last major hit

Pledis is definitely rising from the ashes with Seventeen and Pledis Girlz

But I am worried for TS since BAP lost a lot and SONAMOO have yet to hit big (plus Secret is pretty dead)

And of course DSfloP. But APRIL has been slowly rising and maybe Kasper can add something to them.

I would add DSP to the falling group

I agree and I'm interested to see how to rising companies can maintain their success. I wonder though could you add Pledis to the rising group? Seventeen seems to be doing really well and so far they are handling the pledis girls well also.

I lowkey hope two of these companies merge

SM will fall if they don't ditch this shitty EDM.

Not really, sm are the ones who starts the trends in kpop, sm creates new music for exo and snsd then others from the other companies will copy the concepts of the songs.....sm is trying to make EDM a big hit in kpop and they will definitely use exo or snsd after that others will use the concept and that's how they succeed

Cube will be done after Beast go to Military tbh, tho they didn't do great last year but they still manage to be above average and breadwinner

4minute **cries**

BtoB and CLC promotions suck, I can promote them better than this

I was depending on Pentagon, But with cube fcking with them and eliminating member/s I am so done with cube

welp not mentioning the solos , I mean I swear if Roh Jihoon was in another company he'll slay

That's the most difficult part tbh

Cube can bounce back IF Beast does well (according to their standards and better than last yr), Pentagon gets good responses for their debut and maybe decent figures, as well as Hyuna's comeback doing as good as or better than Red.... I think all these 3 happening one after another starting in July would be the key for Cube to rise back again... I think.

if that ends up happening I'll be here to credit you because at this point all hope has been  lost for Cube

actually gfriend and mamamoo's popularity in korea won't lose to twice and red velvet. its just that big3 group has way way way larger international fanbase. bts is an exception. they able to hit big both domestically and internationally.

I'm no company stan but I hope for bts sake, bighit gets themselves another successful act, so that they can at least be an established company

Please look forward to bighits New bg/gg in 2017/18

Aren't they currently harboring female trainees for a girl group?

If so, I hope it goes well.

Cube is too big to fail imo. Theyll bounce back like Jyp did. However theyll have to come up with better songs and concepts to stand out since cube comes off as 'poor mans YG' sometimes. Big 3 all have notable brand recognition and unique sound, and Cube despite having a lot of groups really doesnt, so they need to work on that.

Huh Gak's success didn't contribute to CUBE nor CUBE deserves to get credit for his success

He's already a well known artist before he joined ACUBE

Same as Apink,he's not under CUBE management since his first day under ACUBE

All CUBE had their peak (2011) were Beast,4minute and Trouble Maker

Everything else was out of their business
