[KPKF] Possible punishments if Jung Yonghwa is found to be guilty of insider trading

Dispatch recently reported that FNC is under investigation for stock manipulation, including one of their idol group leader/actor A. The hints that Dispatch gave was that he was under FNC, he's the main vocalist/leader, and that he was given information about Yoo Jae Suk signing with the company before he was supposed to know, which he used to buy 400 million won worth of the company's stock. (source)

Insider trading is absolutely illegal. If a company worker (FNC staff) gives insider information to someone (FNC idol), both are to be punished by law. They will receive a maximum of 10-year sentence or fined three times of the amount they earned.

10-year sentence or 0.4 billion x 3 = 1.2 billion won

Currently, FNC is clear from suspicion and only Jung Yonghwa is under accusation.

Pann: Jung Yonghwa's punishment is really big

1. [+116, -2] What did Yoo God do to deserve this. He must be so upset that he was used like this.

2. [+106, -9] I don't feel bad for him though. Maybe because he was always unlikeable.

3. [+104, -3] Crazy. But think of other investors who lost their money because of this... It could be our mom and dad. 0.4 billion won isn't nothing.

4. [+28, -2] 1.2 billion won must be nothing for him. It's more of damaging his image.

5. [+25, -1] Do you think Jung Yonghwa will go bankrupt by 1.2 billion? He'll only go back to being a non-celebrity.

6. [+24, -0] Yoo Jae Suk joined the company because he trusted Jung Hyung Don but there was this jerk... Yoo God has no luck with his companies.

7. [+22, -0] Isn't Jung Yonghwa rich? It must be more than 1.2 billion.

8. [+19, -0] Yoo God, please leave FNC ã… ã…

I didn't know about this

people are jumping on this as if Yonghwa is already charged for this. we are not even certain that he was summoned for investigation and FNC has yet to be cleared off from investigation ( if they can find evidence of insider trading, FNC won't get off free without being inflicted as well)

dispatch only giving out hints ( shows that they're not sure of this as well, probably got tipped when they're snooping around)

please you netz kiss his compositions every time CNBLUE makes a comeback

And why would it be Yonghwa's fault if FNC gave him insider info? Also why is Yonghwa the one under accusation and not FNC?

edit: why am I getting negged for this?

true

it's better to wait for official report/statement on this. if indeed he received investigation, and later being charged for the offence and found guilty then he should be punished accordingly

but in this situation what we have so far are only Dispatch's hints on those involved and knetz making speculations

Maybe the translation is unclear. It says he bought 400m won worth of stock, but does not say what his actual ROE is (he should be fined three times his earnings, not his investment).

finally someone pointed this out. sounds like the Pann OP doesn't know how stocks work... I doubt FNC stock prices doubled so his ROE is definitely less than 400m won.

And why would it be Yonghwa's fault if FNC gave him insider info? Also why is Yonghwa the one under accusation and not FNC?

it wouldn't be yonghwa's fault if FNC gave him insider info, but he would be at fault if he bought stocks after being told of that insider info. company execs find out exclusive info all the time but they and their close associates are banned from buying large amounts of related stocks when something big happens. remember this is all speculation at this point right now though! Wait until actual news media starts reporting on the investigation before getting too anxious over dispatch rumors and a pann post.

Apparently FT Island actually talked a long time ago about not knowing Yoo Jae Suk was joining the company. Lol omg.

http://www.allkpop.com/article/2015/07/ft-island-didnt-know-about-yoo-jae-suks-contract-with-fnc-members-fight-one-another-on-live-stages

Jonghun said, "We really found out about this in the morning today.  If we had known beforehand, we would have bought stocks in the company," making everyone laugh.

Im not sure where is that coming from but Yonghwa always has a positive upright image in public eyes

like cnblue do get hate but yonghwa individually rarely get any of that

So this rumor is more shocking than ever

Either way, yonghwa purchased stocks illegally so what's your point?

Ikr... Yonghwa is usually very careful with what he does, actually all of the CNB members are quite careful. They're the opposite of FT. If this is true though, all the hardwork that Yonghwa made will just turn to dust. I really hope he's not guilty, it will be a waste of talent and a big loss for FNC.
