Nana talks about 'Roommate' and how it feels to have the 2nd most beautiful face for 'Allure'

After School's Nana revealed she signed up for the show 'Roommate' without hesitation as she wanted to

become more approachable to her fans in her interview with 'Allure'.

Nana toured the landmarks of Seoul for the pictorial and pulled off everything she wore with her model

proportions.

Nana shared her response to being ranked as having the 'second most beautiful face', "When I

first heard the news, I said, 'No way, How can I be #2?' My members also had the same response... I said,

'It's really amazing', and 'No way.' Although it's burdensome, but I think it's an honor and receive it gratefully.

I felt proud upon seeing my parents react even more joyfully."

She also shared her reason for joining 'Roommate', "When I got the casting offer, I didn't think about it and

said I would do it right away. On talk shows, I'm shown the questions beforehand so I already have a good

general idea of what I will say and I felt that it was slightly uncomfortable and stiff."

"I hesitate and end up not talking a lot so I think I gave off a cold impression. I think a reality show that shows

me as I am suits me. Honestly, I am a very carefree style. I will be able to show a totally different image from

my image on stage."

After School's Nana and Hong Soo Hyun were spotted filming 'Roommate' in Seoul's shopping

district, Myeongdong!

Nana and Hong Soo Hyun share the same room on 'Roommate', so it's no wonder they've been

getting especially close after practicing Orange Caramel's "Catallena" together and bonding through

their touching talk about their hardship as an idol and actress, respectively. The two were spotted

strolling through Myeongdong on May 18 arm in arm, drawing attention.

Orange Caramel’s song “Abing Abing†is a hit for Baskin-Robbins

 

 

With their constant unique concepts receiving love by many, Orange Caramel recently released

a surprise digital single “Abing Abingâ€. As soon as it was released, it ranked high on real time charts

and made a name for itself as a new summer song.

 

'Abing' is the shortened word for ice cream bingsoo, which is a cold Korean shaved ice dessert.

The new album boasts a unique concept and is already showing sighs of becoming a trend. The

music video, is beginning to go viral due to Orange Caramel's quirky charms.

 

The song also interestingly refers to the brand Baskin-Robbins 31 in its lyrics such as “run to

Ba-BaRo (short for Baskin Robbins)†and “Thir-thir-thir thirty one Abing bingâ€. Pledis Entertainment’s

director Woo Youngseung explains, “This song is a collaboration with Baskin Robbins. It is also written

by the same hit-song writer, Seo Yongbae, who wrote Orange Caramel’s ‘Lipstick’ and ‘Catellena’.†He

also says they have no problems with the product’s name in the song because they have no thoughts

in promoting this song on broadcast outlets.

 

The question here is whether the new song should be seen as a CM song (Commercial song) or another

single. Director Woo Youngseung explains that Baskin Robbins offered the roles of CF models for their

product and instead of a short CM song, he thought it would be better to make it a complete song for fans

to enjoy; So in another light it is also a single.

 

Orange Caramel is not the first to encounter this situation. Akdong Musician also released a song for Paris

Baguette called “Bean Dduk Bingsoo†which grabbed number one on several charts. The song became so

popular that the company sales raised by 50%. Many are wondering if Orange Caramel will jump over this

amazing feat.

 

The cute trio will be continuing to promote its song “Abing Abing†in nationwide theaters and online through

its music video.

After School’s Raina confessed that, although San E is a good musical partner,

she does not want him as her boyfriend.

Raina attended June 30’s broadcast of SBS Power FM’s Cultwo Show and brought

up how San E is around girls.

When DJ Jung Chan Woo asked Raina, “How is San E is a guy?†Raina answered,

“Not very good. Our relationship strictly revolves around music.â€

When DJ Kim Tae Gyun commented, “San E must be a bad guy then,†Raina explained,

“He’s a not a bad guy, but he is nice to everyone.â€

She then said, “He says things like ‘Hyo Sung, you’re so pretty,’ or ‘Uee, you’re the best.’

I don’t think I could stand that if he was my boyfriend.â€
Meanwhile, Raina and San E began promoting A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness, starting

with Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN on June 12.
