Ron Swanson 6,677
God dammit Cleveland got lucky again. Celtics's with #16 pick... http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/draft/2013/05/21/lottery-nerlens-noel-ben-mclemore-david-stern/2348809/ 5]It's happened again. 5]The Cleveland Cavaliers will pick first overall in the 2013 NBA draft after winning the NBA draft lottery Tuesday in New York. This will be the third time in 11 years the Cavaliers pick first. 5]"It's huge for us," owner Dan Gilbert said immediately after the pick. "For us, it's about the city of Cleveland and giving them more hope as we build the franchise to the level we want to go to." 5]Gilbert's son, Nick, was the Cavaliers' representative for the lottery for the third consecutive year. And he's 2-for-3 in getting the first overall pick, sealing the choice that ended up being All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving in 2011. 5]"I knew he was lucky," Dan Gilbert said. "We'll take two out of three. Last year, we didn't let him out of his room for a week." 5]Here is the full first-round draft order: 1. Cleveland Cavaliers 5]2. Orlando Magic 5]3. Washington Wizards 5]4. Charlotte Bobcats 5]5. Phoenix Suns 5]6. New Orleans Pelicans 5]7. Sacramento Kings 5]8. Detroit Pistons 5]9. Minnesota Timberwolves 5]10. Portland Trail Blazers 5]11. Philadelphia 76ers 5]12. Oklahoma City Thunder 5]13. Dallas Mavericks 5]14. Utah Jazz 5]15. Milwaukee Bucks 5]16. Boston Celtics 5]17. Atlanta Hawks 5]18. Atlanta Hawks (from Houston Rockets) 5]19. Cleveland I sweasr better hold onto their #1s or else they'll go to a different team and bam MVP of the year award, etc. Like lebron lol.. And when will Toronto ever? NineBraveMuses 3,326
Pistons fans here, #8. All the best players will be taken by then, but out of the remaining players. I like Mohammad, Bennett, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Glen Rice Jr. The Pistons need a SG/SF that can score, so these are likely the best players available at #8. Will take anyone of them, tbh.
