There, finished watching first 2 episodes, so here will be my take on those 8 performances.

First, I'll say that they all delivered, in the sense that nobody felt like a dancing black hole. They all gave at least good and entertaining performances, some better than others, sure, but nobody sucked or was dragging along like a dead weight.

Ten: I was very pleasantly surprised by his performance, and I think it's pretty much my favorite out of the eight. He's a stellar dancer, sharp, precise, smooth and expressive as hell, he managed to shine plenty among his back-up dancers, and was on point from begin to finish. It also helps that he looks like an absolute shy cutie pie off stage, providing a stark contrast from when he's performing. I really loved his hands movements and overall choreography, it conveyed the feeling of exorcism well and it was just awesome.

Bora: I'm both disappointed and proud of her. Disappointed because she clearly gets overshadowed by her dance partner, but proud because she still managed to deliver regardless of not being the best on stage. She had crazy synchronicity with her dance partner, and the dance itself was very creative and also on point with the satanic witches theme. Overall, it was a good performance, and she danced well, though I expected a bit better of her, but I'm satisfied with what she showed. She was very much in character as well, and had pretty damn good expression, those I didn't think she was capable of, so that was a pleasant surprise!

Momo: I think she might be my favorite performance of the 8 after Ten's. Her expression were on point from beginning to end, she was totally in character, and some parts were just crazy good in terms of execution and choreography. My main grip would be that other parts of the choreo weren't as intense and attention-grabbing, which in turn weakened a bit the overall level of the performance, but it was definitely not a problem of execution, rather than choreo. I find that she can lack emotion in her performances sometimes, but she definitely delivered there, so my main fear about her performance was put to rest. She managed to shine among her back up dancers, and she was on point.

U-Kwon: For the 35 seconds that he danced, he danced pretty awesomely well. Which sucks, because dancing clearly wasn't the main focus of his performance. He made for a very crazy and convincing Joker, and was crazy good at it, totally in character, but I still wished he had danced way more than he did, because most of the time, it felt like his backup dancers did the job while he was acting, not dancing. Regardless, despite not being an awesome dance performance on his part, it was definitely an impressive and good performance overall. I just wish he'll focus more on the dancing part in future performances.

Hyoyeon: Oh, my girl... Maybe I expected too much, I don't know, but I was a bit disappointed. I know she tried to step out of her comfort zone, and props to her to daring to do it, and she was good regardless of my disappointment. But not as good as I expected her to be. Her usual presence and charisma were not felt here, and her moves didn't leave much impact in my mind. If anything, it felt she was carried by her back up dancers a lot, which overshadowed her own dancing and stage-presence. I know she can do way better than that, and I'll be waiting for it!

Shonwu: He was okay, but I found him stiff in his movements several times. He also did that mistake which probably sucked the confidence he had for the rest of the performance. I enjoyed the creative makeup part, but I felt he wasn't much in character for most of the performance, and looked like someone tense trying to focus on doing the dance right, rather than enjoying it and being it. I hope he'll be more at ease in future performances, I wanna see him unleash his full potential.

Hoya: So, Joker number two, with a whole lot more of dancing this time. He delivered nicely, though I really didn't feel his rendition of the Joker character, who felt more like a horny teenager, than the Joker. Pardon me the comparison, but in terms of acting and getting the persona of the Joker right, U-Kwon was definitely above Hoya. However, what Hoya lacked in acting, he compensated in dancing. He might not have been really in the theme, but he danced well, with precision, sharpness and control. I'd say he lacked fluidity, but I'd be nit-picking. That T-shirt tearing at the end, was not really necessary, and even more out-of-character than he already was, so that's a bummer for me, but probably not for the fangirls who witnessed it live.

Taemin: I was rooting for Taemin, like, really. I'm still rooting for him, I know he can deliver amazing dances. But this one was just good, not great or awesome. He got Bora'ed, in the sense that his dance partner was clearly better, but even worse than Bora, they weren't in sync most of the times either. I also wished he had performed something specifically made for the show, like all the other contestants did, and not just promoting his new song. Either way, he still delivered a good performance, and he was in character from beginning to the end, with pretty nice expression. Watching his performance with his dance partner was aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable, so I'd say the job was done anyway.

My overall favorites for this round are clearly Ten & Momo, no doubts. I'm very surprised by Ten, he's definitely a great discovery for me, and I'll be on the lookout for more from him in the future. That boy can dance!

Not sure how I'd rank the others though. All I hope, is that people who lacked a bit so far, will show us their full potential on the next episodes, and yes, I'm mainly talking about U-Kwon, Hyoyeon, Shonwu & Taemin, because all four of them looked like they didn't dance to the fullest of their potential.

Chungha delivered, girl is so good with expression and feel, and is so energetic and precise in her movements. Also she proved she's damn good at improvised dancing, which is a result of her choreography skills (she choreographed Bang Bang, Whatta Man, and I'd absolutely not be surprised if she had a heavy hand in the one she just did today).
