In the early hours of June 24, actor Kim Sung Min was taken to a hospital after a suicide attempt.

 

According to the police, the 43-year-old actor and his wife had an argument which led to their 18-year-old son making a phone call to the police. The son told the police that his father was assaulting his mother.

 

Following the arrival of the police, his wife told them it was a minor argument and left the home with their son. About 10 minutes later, his wife voiced her concerns about her husband and asked the police to check up on him. She explained that Kim Sung Min often talks about killing himself whenever he drinks alcohol.

 

The police went to check on him around 1:55 a.m. and found him unconscious in the bathroom. It appears as though he tried to hang himself with a necktie.

 

Kim Sung Min is currently comatose and has been put on a ventilator.

 

Previously, the actor had been found guilty of various drug charges. After 10 months in jail, he was released last January.

 

We hope he will regain consciousness soon.
