July 3rd Deadpool gets a boyfriend #GiveDeadpoolABoyfriend

The Deadpool sequel is currently being constructed and the production needs a little bit of fans’ help to make sure Deadpool not only retains his pansexuality but gets a male love interest, preferably Cable which would follow canon

Fox needs to be convinced that you will pay money to see and even buy the movie so on July 3rd please help in making the hashtag  #GiveDeadpoolABoyfriend viral. Use it on all your social media websites but especially twitter

You can tweet Fox @20thcenturyfox

You should also tweet to actor Ryan Reynolds @VancityReynolds and director Tim Miller @timblur despite the fact that they are already behind it, tweets to them can give them ammunition against Fox

(extended details on the issue here)

Please signal post!

yes to pansexual Deadpool! i would rather Fox gave them shitty tiny budget and complete free rein again for the sequel. or better well deserved substantial budget and complete free rein. i hope they understand that people just want to see Deadpool wreak havoc with whatever. killings, gore, sex, dick jokes, 4th wall break etc. following 1st R-rated hero movie with 1st R-rated hero movie with hero in a same-sex relationship - awesome.

the film didn't mention his pansexuality and gave him a girlfriend that will probably stay with him for the sequel

But the film directors said they did make nods to it.

1. The kiss on that stalker guy

2. When he takes it up the butt from Vanessa on women's day

3. And all the other no homo jokes

They totally showed his pansexuality.

 yeah I hated that we were baited by the mediaplay. They promised gayness and we really didn't get shit

It's kinda funny that they are asking for Deadpool to have a boyfriend since one of the plot elements in the frist movie was him wanting to see and be with his gf (and in the end saving her) and how much he loves her so it'll be kinda weird if that's just completely dropped for the 2nd movie.

They will probably show he's pan through jokes and dialogue (maybe the appearance ex) rather than actually putting him in a same sex relationship.

However it would be cool if a new superhero in a future movie is in a same-sex relationship

I can't understand why these people are so intent on forcing these comic book characters to become gay? Captain America for one. There's a lot of ACTUALLY gay characters in comic books why not support those characters? Or better yet, make their own.

but how would he get a boyfriend when he already has a girlfriend, which the whole first movie centers around?

but he has a girlfriend...

So you want him to dump his girlfriend that he did all that dump shit to make his face perfect again only to find out that she loves him even with that fucked up face to get a boyfriend?

well Vanessa dies. or he just thinks that she is dead. smth like this is how their romance ends in comics. also they fucked up her character so..

anyhow sequel may have CABEL in it everyone. at least there should be some canonical pining or it's not Deadpool.

also Deadpool exists in like dozen AUs, i don't even know what they'll do for sequel

I see where you are coming from but you are wrong, although there a some lgbt superheros ( and thought i adore them)nearly all of them are minor characters and there isnt that many of the avengers who are, to have a main character, esp. one who has had descriptions hint at them being lgbt, would be a huge step forward

And as someone else already said, deadpool is pansexual in the comics so no one is "forcing" him to be gay

Huge step forward? How about we start having some superheroes movies with women as the lead first? How many women superheroes besides Wonder Woman that is actually getting her own movie? Or more black superheroes as the leads?

These people are using someone's sexuality as a PR stunt which is obviously inspired by a previous similar campaign for another superhero. That's what I meant by forcing.

well Harley Quinn is getting her own movie; T'challa as well.

and now people want Fox studio to actually confirm character's pansexuallity by giving him a male love interest in a movie and you are mad over some hash-tag?

if it comes to this Ryan Reynolds has been talking about getting a boyfriend in the next movie since Deadpool came out which was before CACW. so yeah now before the get up of the sequel fans are pushing the issue, just like they pushed the whole making of the Deadpool. i don't see where is the problem tbh

Suicide Squad is not Harley's movie is the Suicide Squad's movie. And Suicide Squad is mainly about Deadshot and Rick Flag.

Oh, and she's not a superhero.

1. Harley Quinn is rumored to have her own spinoff/to be a part of female super movie sr

2. just like Deadpool is not superhero, so what? the point is for the main character to be female aka WW, Catwoman, Jessica Jones, Agent Carter, SuperGirl (yeah i know they are not all movies but this point is about female lead);

3. i still don't understand how introducing pansexual main character is not a "huge step forward"

4. or how studio does not need pushing considering $ $ $ they are going to lose because of homophobic part of audience and because of countries that gonna ban it for "homosexual propaganda"

5. or how it all belittles issues with lack of female and black people representation

1. Interesting... I didn't knew about that.

2. There's a growth on TV hero shows with female leads and that's an improvement yeah, I didn't say anything about a lack of female representation tho, I just made a comment on Suicide Squad.

3. I didn't say it's not a huge step forward, that other user did, and yes, considering Deadpool is canonically pansexual I think there needs to be an introduction of some sort.

4. I don't disagree with the campaign, I agree with it.

5. And I don't think it belittles those issues, I think all of the people involved, queer, female, and black people are on the short end of the stick and all need the support.
