Envied 5,831
I like the GTA franchise more, but Saints Row is a good one too. They were more similar in the beginning, but since the third game, SR has gone beyond ridiculous in a good way. They both have their charms. Mako Yagami 4,462
Saints Row is pretty crazy, and its fun. I prefer GTA though, its simply the better series hands down, especially the new GTA which is just insane cause of all the content.

Brown Bear 4,825
Saints Row is more about taking over territories and building up your gang, etc. GTA franchise is more story based but usually revolves around the same concept, drugs, money, sex etc. Both of the franchise are alike in the way that they're both open world (Sandbox) and both have the whole gang member / criminal characters. -- For me personally, GTA franchise is better. I haven't played any of the Saints Row besides Saints Row II which was a godly game, enjoyed it so much. Haven't bothered playing the others though. sgtninjago 2,190
GTA is better in terms of scope, story telling, and gameplay. But Saints Row is more fun and great over the top sense of humor. And I would say it has better customization,
Brown Bear 4,825
And I would say it has better customization, Definitely... there's no arguments o__O GTA's customization's are next to non-existent.

jwhy 239
I enjoy both games and you really shouldn't compare the two. Although very similar, they're vastly different experiences. Saints Row (the crazy wackiness doesn't begin until The Third and IV) offer more of that face paced combat oriented gaming experience with more focus on action. GTA has always come across to me as a cinematic experience almost... it's like watching a gangster movie where you get to dictate the pacing of the plot and get the chance to explore the world the world is set in. SR games do that too but GTA seems to be more focused on that than anything else. The quality of the narrative in GTA games is honestly good enough to be put on the big screen. What you should do is if you had the choice to play on PC, wait for SR The Third to go on sale off Steam (it goes down to like $5 or less) and just play GTA V for now. And if you haven't sign up for the HumbleBundle newsletter. There are awesome PACKS of games on there for less than $7 altogether sometimes. Whichever title you go with, I guarantee you'll have an awesome gaming experience
DragonFury 3,019
If you play video games a lot and across a lot of different types of games and genres then SR IV is the game for you. It is one big love letter for gamers, games and the history of games.
