But he was also interviewed by Paper magazine and in it, he opens up about leaving One Direction, his new album and his thoughts on men finding him attractive. Malik said, “If girls find me attractive, then that’s a cool thing. If guys find me attractive, then that’s a cool thing as well. It’s sick. It’s a compliment.†He adds: “I’m blessed by whoever was up there to be who I am and be able to do what i do. I genuinely mean that.†Since leaving One Direction Malik has veered away from the clean, boyband image and his new album, ‘Mind of Mine’ is filled with sexual references and imagery. “It wasn’t a conscious decision to make [the album] sexual or refer to sex. But I just found out that a lot of situations that I was in were quite sexual situations – all of the time.†“I enjoyed singing about [sex], clearly,†he adds. Malik also reveals that he likes a ‘quiet life.’ “I don’t really enjoy going out too much and partying. I like to have my own time and be at home, and I kind of need a partner with me to do that. I don't like how celebrities and authors nowadays excessively do the whole "IT'S OKAY IF GUYS FIND GUYS ATTRACTIVE OK" and vice versa. Subtlety is a beautiful thing... saying you're fine with gay people and supporting them is great, but integrate it better instead of making it out like you're sponsoring gay people or something lmao.
