[AKP] Dasom thinks she was chosen for the body art because of her pale skin?

SISTAR held the showcase for their fourth mini album 'Mol-Ah-Ae ('Insane Love')' on June 21 at Yes24 Live Hall.

During the showcase, Dasom gave her thoughts on why she was chosen to wear the body art on her back in the "I Like That" MV. The idol said, "I took on the body art scenes [in the MV]. When eastern beauty is concerned, you imagine pale skin. Because my skin is pale, I think the black ink formed a nice contrast. That's why I believe they had me wear [the body art].

Dasom then explained what the content of her body art meant, saying, "The meaning is from Lee Baek's 'Autumn Night' and it's about missing a certain someone. It contains the story of the person you love."

She's not saying pale skin is prettiest or better for body art just that she thinks she was chosen because of the contrast. What's with the angry responses in this thread?  :derp:

Right?

The contrast between her skin + the red and black of the paint was probably the starkest. It would look fine on the other members too but on her skin it's the most easily noticeable.

Also she pretty much regurgitated what everyone knows -- eastern beauty values pale skin. It's not like she even dissed anyone, so I dint get the passive aggressive response. Someone honestly explain how what she said was wrong.

She's not saying pale skin is better, just that it fits with Korea's beauty standards. It's no big deal, tattoos are easier to see on lighter skin tones.
