Joji. 5,062
What do y'all use for your hair? I'm going my hair out right now for the first time in years and it's turning into a tangled, nappy mess. I'm literally always picking at it and I feel like it's making it worse.. Please give me some advice. I'm a guy but it should still apply right? A Boy Like Troy 3,333
I'm a black guy too and I always get compliments on my hair. What kind of look are you going for? Do you have curly hair?
✪fancy✪ 371
Well the products you use and how much and how often depends on your hair texture tbh But the first thing is to stop picking at it...you're probably making it dry and creating more of the knots or whatever that are already bothering you
Llydia 532
Stop picking at it lol Look into hair products. What are you using? Moisturizing your hair is essential cause dryness happens a lot w/ black ppl hair. Use natural organic products (shea butter, coconut oil etc) Drink a lot of water / change diet maybe. Get a silk or satin pillow cover as hair sticks on cotton and creates tangles and whatnot.

namtunod 784
Oils are great, but you have to figure out which oil is the best for your hair type. A lot of people love coconut oil, but it makes my hair feel like hay. I am a loyal fan of shea butter and it's pretty much the only thing I use besides shampoo and conditioner. I suggest learning your hair's porosity. It takes a lot of the guess work out of what will work for your hair. This should help you out.
Natagirl 581
Moisture moisture moisture. Try out different conditioners and oils to find out what works with your hair. also invest in a satin pillow case to keep your hair from tangling. also never comb out your hair dry and use a wide tooth comb
