I want to point out the best of the best releases from January of 2016 to June of 2016. If ever there's a mid-year MAMA awards, this will be my list of winners.

 

Artist of the Year -  Twice 

Album of the Year -  EXO 

Song of the Year -   Gfriend  "Rough" 

Best Music Video - NCT U - 7th Sense

Best Male Group - EXO

Best Female Group - Red Velvet

Best Dance Performance - Male Group - NCT U "7th Sense"

Best Dance Performance - Female Group - MAMAMOO

Best New Artist - Male - NCT U

Best New Artist - Female - I.O.I

Best Male Artist - JongHyun

Best Female Artist - Jung Eunji

 

 

It will be the first time YGE will not win anything.

I don't know about Rough and Cheer up, who can receive  Song of the year, what I'm certain is neither Twice, neither GFriend will get Artist of the Year in 2016.

 

just look at the  winners of Artist of the Year.  All were groups with impact in Asia, with tours during the year and impressive sales.

Can I say something? Some people are just going around negging all the comments but do you guys understand that this is our predictions aka we are stanning our own group/believing that the group has a chance of winning. What we all say here might or might not be true, but we all know we have our own bias groups, so please stop negging just because you dont agree...

just look at the last 5 winners of Artist of the Year.  All were groups with impact in Asia, with tours during the year and impressive sales. 

actually you can just say boy groups. because twice has impressive sales and impact in asia for girl groups

what impact has Twice in Asia? they never had a solo concert yet, they are not performing for large audience. 

You don't receive Artist of the Year for youtube views.

 

if you look at the list of all those who received Artist of the Year  you realize Twice won't receive it this year if they follow the same pattern. They have more chance for Song of the Year. 

 

artist of the year:  20% music sales, 10% record sales, 20% jury vote (local + foreign), 20% research, 10% online vote, 10% mama selection commitee.
