Traditional breakfast in my country is a farmer's breakfast. It's supposed to be the main meal of the day and keep you full from 5 a.m. when you go out to the fields until past noon when you manage to eat some lunch...so it's heavy on purpose.

It's basically gallo pinto (rice+beans+condiments) with fried sweet plantains, eggs and either fried cheese or sour cream and tortillas. Served with coffee or a warm traditional drink made with unrefined sugar, lime and ginger.
