is boys24 possibly bringing forth the next generation of jokwon's, sungjong's, and heechul's?

male idols who aren't afraid to show a little flamboyancy and femininity (in more ways than just half crossdressing as a joke or fanservice) even if they might be seen as gay. we've been missing more extremely out-there and popular personalities like jokwon's in this current generation. i see promise in some of these of these boys.

Except Hongin is actually performing a dance style/genre. I would not consider that as femininity at all...

I don't know what dance style he's performing (I forgot the style...) but he does salsa (?) As well.

i mean, male modern and ballet dancers have always been given the gay stereotype... and it's more than just the type of dance imo. it's the way he does certain moves. he adds his own style and flare. the way he adds a certain touch of flamboyancy really reminds me of idol's like jokwon. and he does samba by the way. many male ballroom dancers are also stereotyped as gay. js.

Found out its called contemporary dance what he does.

I would not consider it that imo since its been around for sooo long. I can't compare the way HongIn dances to Jo Kwon/Heechul (wasn't that called kkap).

That's how contemporary dance is if you watch the videos... he's not adding feminity or anything. Just watch contemporary dance videos and you'll see. I don't get flamboyancy from Hongin though.

but Jokwon has no dance talent, he's just exaggerating everything for gags, kinda like a gag concert comedian (meaning any normal gag concert person can do that).

Sungjong only know girlgroup dance, he's not really the star of the dance world.

Those contestants above have actual dance talents, why would they make funny no talent dance just to be funny? no no.

Well many the kid hocheol can try to be funny.

I do get flamboyancy from Hongin and the guy he appeared on that dancing show with prior to this.

Anyways, YES.

I love my feminine boys!

Always nice to see the male idols who aren't afraid of expressing themselves despite their society.

eh, agree to disagree then. just know this, each dancer has a distinct style. they aren't just copying the same shtick over and over again, they all have their own flourishes that make them who they are as dancers. of course the dances and styles will be similar, but i've seen male contemporary dancers that focus on their masculinity and i've seen male contemporary dancers that extenuate their femininity. for you to say that you don't get even a whiff of flamboyancy from a guy like hongin is a bit shocking to me. but to each their own.

i mean have you seen this clip of him from dancing9??

performance starts@ 1:20 (he's the one with black hair

not only does he ballroom dance but he does male x male ballroom dancing ?? like, how much more obvious does he need to be.

and i'm mainly comparing personality here. not just the way they dance.

I get what you mean but not everything that is out of the "norm" is supposed to be seen as feminine. Like I said contemporary dance has been around for so long its nothing new. Yes he does add his own style no doubt but he's not adding any kind of femininity or flamboyance in my opinion. Kkap or what Jo Kwon is doing yess I agree with it being flamboyant and femimine. But his chandelier performance is just contemporary dance. I've seen plenty of guys doing it. Its not new to society as it has been accepted for quite a long time. I've watched dancing9 and contemporary dance can be seen on that show quite often. But what he does is no way in the same line as heechul or jo kwon which you would really call "flamboyant" and those guys are really bringing femininity out.
