Is it a good Idea to get a domestic kitten as a companion for a bengal kitten?

Be with how? you mean breed with? Then yes if you don't want to produce an specific race from the bengal into example whatever other race you would want to mix with. But if you're not looking for any specific mix then it's more then ok to let him breed with domestic cat

Do not breed him, adopt from the shelter and get both of them fixed

I volunteer at the shelter and it's heartbreaking how many animals are there and how many are put down because people are too stupid to get their pets fixed

Oh and to actually answer your question lol yes it is a great idea!! Especially if they're both kittens they'll just play and grow up loving each other

Sorry misunderstood the first line because of companion? But yeah. You can raise them together just fine

So I brought a domestic kitten home and the introductions has been weirdly simple.... my bengal got overly excited because this is the first cat hes ever been around.. and he started licking him and just going crazy! i let them both play for like 5 minutes and my bengal is just too aggressive [in a playful way]... hes playing with the domestic cat but I am worried that he will hurt him OTL

How old is the domestic cat? If it's alot younger like example 2-5 weeks then it's better you separate them for now or always be around them and remember to personally feed the domestic cat in separation.

9 weeks old... theyre 5 days apart lol

The Bengal is more energtic in this case but you should make sure to feed them separately and keep an eye on them. Just for 2-3 months then they will be all grown and not in a baby stage so after that everything will be normal. But it needs your time to raise them both for awhile

I am worried it gets worse as they get older OTL... I keep thinking that if theyre this young and they fight like that what will it be like when theyre grown kitties >_<

lmao. Thats how it is when you have 2-3 cats at first then you get use to it with time and start to break them up.. You will find yourself while going to the freezer to get some ice cream then all of sudden out of nowhere the cats go at it and you like ohhh no not again and start running from the kitchen ''Hey hey hey'' assssh aash stop stop I said stop. then they stop.

I had a huge almost one year old cat when we found a tiny kitten in our garage, at first we were worried the bigger cat would hurt the kitten because they would play rough but she would also lick the kitten and cuddle with her and take care of her and it was so precious but yeah just keep an eye on them while they play, it's good that they wanted to play instantly rather than feeling scared or threatened by the other!! I think they'll grow up friends and when you think they're fighting they're def just playing, my cats do that all the time then still show love to each other. They might even play bite each other really softly but if you're concerned you can check their body after for bite marks or anything like that

SOrry if I'm not making sense I'm exhausted but I love kittens ahhh I'm jealous

ALSO I think a good way to tell if they're not playing anymore is if they start hissing or growling, that's when I know to break it up bc whoever is hissing is not having fun anymore lol
