Gadot was last seen in “The Fast and Furious 6″ and is repped by ICM Partners. “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character,†Snyder said. Variety first reported that Gadot, “G.I. Joe: Retaliationâ€'s Elodie Yung and Olga Kurylenko had tested for the part that was believed to be Wonder Woman. The Wonder Woman rumor has been kicking around for some time, and insiders believe the plan is to have not just Batman and Superman in the film but several members of the Justice League as well. It’s unclear which members, but Wonder Woman (Diana Prince) and the Flash are said to be locks to make an appearance in some fashion, whether that’s a significant role or a cameo. Warners will also look to now cast the villain with “Zero Dark Thirty†and “300: Rise of the Empire†star Callan Mulvey someone Warner Bros. is eyeing to play the role. Pic will bow July 17, 2015. Jaimie Alexander wasn't my first choice, but she was a big favorite and she would've done great. She's physically strong and capable of throwing a punch and mentally is tough. The difference between her and Gadot should show that Gadot is definitely not the right choice. So Man of Steel 2 will be about Superman, Batman and WW ? Never. They don't promote female superheros, their either love interests or the kind who are lingering in the middle (not really in the background), always in the nick of time and/or doing something that helps the main character(s). Minus Rogue (Used by magneto to gain power), and Jean (Villain..Ish and Love interest for TWO men), all the other girls were pretty much just.. There. Because female superheros aren't promoted so much, they don't have a strong enough force or base to have a movie revolve soley on them (Example A would be how badly Catowmen did and how many nominations it got for worst movie and actress or Elektra which got little to no good reviews and featured on multiple worst films list) No one is going to dish out movie (especially a superhero movie) with no guarantee of a high income. That's why Scarlet J and Jennifer L are praises so much. For being strong women with a major role. I think what should happen, is DC making male superhero movies but inserting a women as a strong character, thus giving SOME kind of chance of a female SH movie. PS: I think Young Justice or Teen Titans (Which would have not only women but African American hero's as well) movie would be a good direction to head in, or maybe JL: Femme Fatale type of thing with WW, Shayera, BC and Vixen as main and SuperGirl and Huntress as minor (That would be fucking awesome). But it's going to be mighty difficult for her. Really don't think she's going to come out of this looking like Hilary Swank in 'Million Dollar Baby'. And body type isn't the only reason. She doesn't have the gravitas nor acting chops. She must either have connections or she slept with someone for this role. She does not fit the character of Wonder Woman at all. Seriously. Oh IA definitely , I always hoped Wonder Woman would be a visibly strong woman in the movies, not like an average girl with superhuman strength ala Buffy Like this But IDK, I mean Henry Cavill when he was in the Tudors was a skinnier guy, but look at him now, I hope that's the same case with Gal, tbh I probably won't even watch this movie, but Wonder Woman is a big deal to me lol Eh, I don't really think that holds up too much, like WW is much more known than say, Rocket Racoon or Ant-Man or even the Green Lantern and is definitely important enough to warrant her own movie, honestly the fact that a Racoon had one before her is just lame, and just because some female-based superhero movies have flopped doesn't mean it's because they're women, maybe they were just really, really bad movies, like Green Lantern and Daredevil also flopped but that doesn't mean people gave up trying on male superhero movies. Wonder Woman should look physically strong. But, the thing with saying Henry Cavill or Chris Hemsworth is that they were still big guys, and it is so much easier to bulk up as a male. It just is. Just as it's easier for men to lose weight. With that, Gal Gadot naturally has a small frame. She has really slim shoulders and hips. To get to an ideal Wonder Woman is going to take time that I don't think she has, and I think the max she can put on is 15lbs. I would love to be proven wrong, of course. Well she was casted for a reason right? the director knows what he's doing... And saying she slept with someone for the part is really disrespectful and rude... she's married with a kid. She doesn't fit the role physically, is not an actress, has not proven she can act, nor has any charisma. She didn't fit it perfectly, but she would've done great. And her comments on how a WW movie should be done *droll* She has trouble with English. Now, that's fine, since Wonder Woman isn't American nor has to speak with one or say with a British one. But, the key word isn't that she has an accent, but that she has trouble with it. Can she act (put aside she hasn't proven that she can) with her difficulty? Pull off a dramatic scene? Impress in a climatic fight with a supervillian? I wish Angelina Jolie would've gotten the role.
