Impregnated by Eunwoo 3,207
How do you classify those people who don't buy their bias' albums, songs, don't attend to concerts or even don't buy merchandise? To give an analogy, a migrant must meet some certain requirements before he/she can legally enter a certain country. Is it safe to say that you need to do one of the things I have mentioned before you can be included in the fandom?

Haruwu 37,702
I buy albums digitally / physically but some people don't have the money to or are not allowed, it doesn't mean they aren't fans.

ShawolArmy 1,257
Well a fan is someone who enjoys a specific category. Kpop is a category in itself, so as long as they like it, I don't see why not? Anyways, it's interesting to see how many kpop fans put an emphasis on buying albums/digital singles. Before I got into kpop, the majority didn't give a damn about album sales in the american music industry. Now here I am, constantly updating the album sales thread on the weekly lmao

Mccuish 1,935
You don't need Kpop albums to be a Kpop fan. I'm a Godsmack fan and I don't have some of their albums.
freya 7,202
If they enjoy kpop and call themselves fans, then they're fans imo.
kpopluveer 1,749
I've never bought any music from anyone in my entire life so..... yeah. Don't call the feds on me, juseyo I consider people like me as "casual listeners", since i'm not actively adding anything.
Sybil 1,780
hmm idc, unless they're the people who go "don't be jealous bc my faves got an all-kill/are successful/are relevant and yours are flops". In that case, I get... confused. like, how do you think they got to that point in the first place? through your barrage of youtube comments? SM TRASH 212
so i have a friend like that. She's actually a hard-core ARMY. Her bias is V. She really want to buy albums, and even see bts's concert. But she can't buy it. Her parents are not allow her to buy those things because they said it useless. Not even allow her to attend any concert because their parents said that she better go around the world then see Korean boygroup who's not even notice her. i feel sorry for her. A Hamster Named Loneliness 3,680
I got into kpop in 2005, but I wasn't able to buy kpop albums or merchandise until 2014. Doesn't mean I wasn't a fan from 2005-2013--I still gave support by watching my faves' music videos and music show performances.
Pocket Hyung 3,962
I'm claustrophobic so concerts are a big no for me (huge crowds in general are enough to stress me out,let alone standing among one for hours) I buy albums physically but some people don't have the money to or are not allowed, it doesn't mean they aren't fans. ^
B612 22,399
I have some KPOP albums, but the only group I have the complete physical discography is 2NE1 so idk...
