Taiwanese movie/drama OSTs are the most iconic among Asian dramas right?

I really think TW is the best when it comes to OSTs. Just hearing the songs again years later make me want to watch the dramas again.

Like last year's most hit song by Hebe Tien came from Our Times the movie.

Can you name which drama the following songs come from? (see spoiler)

Harlem Yu - Qing Fei De Yi

Meteor Garden

Rainie Yang - Ai Mei

Devil Beside You

Shorty Yuan - Loving You 99 Times

Fated to Love You

Wang Lan Yin - Er Zuo Ju

ISWAK

Della Ding - Wo Ai Ta (just the opening riffs gives me goosebumps and is very impactful because of the drama!

Autumn's Concerto

That's because those dramas are massive hits. Pretty sure the same number of people can recognize where "almost paaaradiiiise", "you aaaare my destinyy" and "love is the momeeeeent" come from.

I love the theme songs to Taiwanese dramas/movies, so catchy!

Some others worth mentioning:

Seriously Hebe needs to perform at this year's MAMA since OUR TIMES was pretty much a hit across Asia, particularly in Taiwan, China, HK, Singapore and Korea. 86 million views on YT and counting.

A lot of these OSTs also brought massive fame to the singers or at least gave them more stable careers. These songs are also being sung a lot to this day even by huge Mandopop singers.

The closest that I could think of with that impact in Kdramas in terms of OSTs would be Full House and Goong, not BoF. It's not just about the identity, but the nostalgia added to it.

I really love Taiwanese dramas OST. One of the reasons why I liked Cpop is because of OSTs and I stan Hebe which always produces good songs.

Yes please? I really love Hebe's "Little Happiness". It is such a sad song but good to listen. And I want to see her in the same stage as my faves in Korea.

Same stages?

Hebe performed the song like a hundred times last year. Lots of it were televised too.

I randomly had this same thought last week! Some of the biggest hits of the years, and of all time are famous OSTs. The most viewed cpop videos on youtube are OSTs. Some singers are well established and already popular, but others are relatively new or unknown and become famous from a hit OST. I'm not typically someone who pays attention to OSTs when I watch movies/dramas, but some Taiwan OSTs really bring up strong emotions for me when I listen to them again, even years after watching the drama.

The Meteor Garden OST just might be the most recognized OST across Asia. I didn't even watch the drama, and I love that song! And I squealed when I clicked into æˆ‘爱他. Totally flooded with memories, aaah~~

Hope from the Fierce Wife is so heartwrenchingly good, sigh, loved that drama. Actually liked a bunch of that drama's OSTs.

Other big OSTs
