Not really.

Yes they are.

Games for next gene consoles will be more expensive in the long run.

Console+games+online play=more expensive

PC+MUCH CHEAPER GAMES=less expensive

in the long run pc gaming will be less expensive, and a better investment.

I personally prefer consoles because in my house video games are a family activity in a sense. Pc gaming would kinda take that away.

There is many ways to play games together online

but i guess stuff like wii is better in the aspect of literally being together

Consoles are made with PC parts, ergo they are nothing more than a PC only made for gaming.

You can upgrade your PC and you can't do that with a console.

The best PC is far superior in performance to the best console.

While a PC might be more expensive than a console, you can start with a cheap basic one and add better parts.

If you're actually like hardcore into PC gaming, you have to get a new one  or spend more than the price of a gaming console to upgrade your pc,more often than the console game systems come out.

This too, playing a game online with your friends is different than playing on a console together in the same room imo.

Not really.

Most games I play on consoles aren't on PC, and will never be on PC. Sure PCs are great but they don't have my favorite games.

PC gaming is cheaper, stop trying to say it's not.

can't deny any of those points. But i go where the JRPG's are and that's consoles and portables.

I would like a gaming pc for other genres though and seeing those crazy steam sales just makes me jealous. But that's not going to happen any time soon.

Download a Emulator and you can play anything

They won't have propperly working Emulators for PS3 or PS4 for years.... I already know about emulators...lol.

Then don't say never?

lol

Who knows it might be never, they can barely get the PS2 Emulator to work, so they have years before they can get a ps3 emulator.

Your playing on a format that is outdated with a lower game library.

Even if they have exclusives your basically overpaying for shit.

Youre basically saying "I don't want a larger library, i just want to play the 4 exclusives on my ps3 for an inflated price and stare at pixels all day.

"Pixels" Lol PS3's graffics aren't even that bad, and since when was gaming all about graphics? Sure the PC has more choices, but about 90% of the games aren't even what I play. I mainly play JRPGs and fighting games, which is why I prefer consoles.

Final fantasy, Xenoblade, Tales of "___"  games ect. All of which have a bigger straight male fan base than horny yaoi fan girl fan base.

final fantasy is available on pc

PC gaming has the better hardware no doubt and the most available games due to full backwards compatibility but I've always found that console games are basically where all the memorable, innovative and most importantly, fun, games come from. The Mario series the Final Fantasy series, Uncharted series, Metal Gear, Pokemon, the freaking Legend of Zelda series and all the other big names - they considered some of the greatest games ever and all are console games (home and/or handheld).

Heck even now, all the heavy hitter games like the Bioshocks, the Fifas, the Call of Dutys etc are made primaruily for console gamers and then ported over (sometimes poorly) to PCs. That shows that even most developers often prefer the console version over PC.
