only really enjoyed uji and soyeon's performances tho. idk, i feel like most of them had really boring songs this episode? it made the performances way less enjoyable to me. better luck next time ladies.

I wish they didn't split the episodes between teams. They could cut the drama/variety and provide more time for the singing and have both teams perform.

i think the split is good tho so each girl gets decent screen time and it's easier for girls to get recognized in a smaller group. like, if they did all 12 of the performances from the fight song challenge in one episode, kei and minjae would have never gotten their five minutes of fame. uji would have overshadowed everyone.

 

All the girls did well although some choose the wrong songs.I especially liked soyeon and uji's performance.

 

Can anyone tell me what's the theme for the next ep? Can't wait for the next ep.

I'm failing to understand how 3rd place and right behind the top two in an environment where the genre of song she sung could have flopped is the short end of the stick. I understand that Bohyung, Uji and Seunghee are top 3 but it's not like those three are opera singers and the bottom 5 barely can hold a note. Everyone has a chance to do well with the right arrangement and song and it really does bother me that many think that those 3 are untouchable. They arent.

 

The whole point of the show is discovering artists that you may not know or may not have paid attention to. The fact that it's turned into this top tier/bottom tier stuff means that the PDs really failed in terms of what this show was supposed to be and that barely anyone is actually going to benefit after its over. It's a shame.

but the fact of the matter is, any exposure is good exposure. even if one girl is more popular than the others ect, they all got an opportunity to be fixed cast members on a decent show that isn't flopping completely. they're having their performances recognized by a public audience. clearly this show isn't going to automatically make them way more popular.( tbh i'm confused as to why laboum and spica rushed their comebacks while the show is still airing...) but i do believe this show has helped these girls in some way, even those at the bottom. 

 

 

 

I agree that Bohyung is almost a nugu out of artistic scenary and Uji is reasonably known and this show is helping them to get more attention. But this argument is flawed when it comes to Kei. She is like one of the most known faces in SK, even before she get in the show.

uh, that is not true at all. as kei said in the first episode, people know lovelyz' song ah-choo, but they don't know the group. kei is pretty popular among a niche of males that like girl groups, but she isn't an "it girl" like hani or hyeri by any means. she may be the most well known individual on the show, but clearly that hasn't done much to help her win  #1 so...

 

i honestly find it funny how many people are constantly downplaying lovelyz' success and standing among new gen girl groups, but when it comes to this show kei is "only doing well because she's popular"(which i have seen some people saying). the hypocrisy.

What u talkin bout? Woollim have been promoting Kei for a whole year before she get into this show. I doubt people don't recognize her or her voice! Is not hypocrisy, it's a fact!

i'm not sure you completely comprehended my post... anyway, woolim promoted her, yeah, but she's not crazily popular and well know. you can hardly say "everyone in korea knows her" when she's only been on a few shows. she doesn't have as much public recognition as you're trying to make it seem.

Just to make it clear. I don't think she's "only doing well because she's popular", she's doing well because she's good. But you can't deny she's much more popular than the others girls there.

k, but as i said that "popularity" sure hasn't done much to make her #1. i just don't get why you feel the need to bring up that she's "so much more popular" when it's not like she's winning every week.

I was arguing with another user that was saying "no one pays attention to her", I said "no man, she's well known", and than you butted. I don't know what you want...

lol, if you don't want someone to "butt in", take your arguments to pm. my only point was that kei isn't "the most known face is sk" like you said. did you not get that? 

 

and the original user you quoted only said the point of the show was  "discovering artists that you may not know or may not have paid attention to" no one said anything about no one paying attention to kei...

wow, i'm so happy kei won. i liked that she was the focus of her performance  and her collab partner was more of a feature. with some of the other performances it felt like the partners where more of the driving force behind the performance. you can also tell how much work kei put into that dance.

 

i also really loved sungyeon's performance. glad she finally got recognition.

unless something crazy happens next week it looks like our final four will be sojung, uji, hyun seunghee, and kei.

No clue why you're getting negged. Its either Bohyung, Sojung or Uji. I think its a real toss up between the 3. Week 2 really hurt Sojung and this week hurt uji.

i'm just going by facts...

Yeah, but those are first-round votes only.

 

I really question whether the full scores for the military ep are counted.  If nothing else, since it was a duet, they should divide the scores in half so it's only worth about 2x as much as any other round instead of 4x.

 

I finally got around to watching everything (well, I'm in the middle of ep7).  I guess my biggest lingering question is... wtf did Hyemi mean by "a voice that has eaten too many hamburgers"? >.>

i thought they were only going to count first round votes. i mean, in the second round the 100+ votes are split between all the girls so it's hardly a significant number....

Second round votes can make a big difference, Bohyung moved from 5th to 2nd in the first episode. And since Team B top performers usually score within a few votes of each other in the first round, every vote makes a difference. And it's not likely the second round votes are being spread across evenly. It's more likely that the bulk of the votes are going to 2 or 3 contestants.. 

i get that, but i mean the actual number of votes during each second round will barely affect the final standings....
