5201314 6,469
“SM Entertainment claims tort liability among Huang Zitao, Beijing Kong Zhong Co., and Shanghai Dacheng Network, requesting the three defendants to stop their mobile endorsement deal and to pay a SM damages to the amount of 1.5 million yuan. The court has accepted the case. SM Entertainment alleges their exclusive management rights over Tao for a period of 10 years, any contracts or agreements made without their consent are therefore illegal.†Source: Sina Entertainment My translation [+5,103] To say the least, the amount that Tao is asked to pay in this business is proportionally larger than anyone else’s [+4,458] In 2009, the Korean committee signed an amendment which prevents artist contracts from exceeding seven years, and Tao was with SM at the end of 2010, SM has now acknowledged that Tao’s contract is 10 years long, this contract does not comply with the law, this is hilarious [+4,073] Huang Zitao: “Ain’t a thing, my dad has money, you can even make it 200 million [+4,163] A decade-long contract is, in and of itself, illegal, does foolish (SM) not care about their reputation? [+3,995] From a legal perspective, I believe the Chinese judicial authorities will give a fair judgement to Tao Tao. Emotionally, SM is a company in Korea that has a ‘go against me and die’ attitude. Hopefully, once they get into China, they will have a little bit of restraint. In his original agency, his leg kept getting hurt and so he left. He has recently been in movies and variety, SM shifts the blame, it’s obvious who has the vicious heart [+3,143] Ten year contract, this has been fun, Support Huang Zi Tao [+2,788] In fact, I think some companies in Korea treat their artists pretty harshly [+2,658] Although Tao Tao is often treated like crap, passer-byers do not see him in a negative light. Tao Tao does not owe EXO and SM anything. He stuck by until he couldn’t bear any longer, he’s an upright boy! SM really treated their Chinese artists like crap, I heard Han Geng was not given screen time (show his face) during his debut. [+2,178] Support Huang Zitao [+2,156] Is foolish SM not after Tao’s 20 Billion Yuan? [+1,829] Good, well done

Devilishponie 7,980
Wait, just like the comments say, a 10 year contract is not legal since the JYJ case(I believe). How is Tao's 10 years? Edit: And LMAO the sum they want is a little over £160,000. That's nothing for someone like Tao

cherrrypie 311
At first I read it as 1.5 million won... and I was like, lol that's only $1,500. Anyway, if it's a ten year contract, it should be invalidated. At this point, SM needs to just cut its losses and move on.

GRISHA - A Yoonbin Stan 16,868
JYJ says hello to SM. At this point, SM needs to just cut its losses and move on. I agree. EXO is still killing it, this just makes them look super petty. He'll never promote in South Korea again so it doesn't even matter at this point. This is why I don't like SM. Some of their idols are probably unhappy, but afraid to leave because SM will bury them. It's like they're being held hostage.

Nintat 4,072
SM is ridiculous and keeps damaging their own rep in China with these claims. Just let it go already, 10yr contract is too excesive. Btw, I can't remember the name of the gaming companies Tao did each game with, is this for 'I'm the Sovereign', 'The Almighty Team' or both? If anyone knows.
