I will probably be doing this for all major companies.. and this is based on my knowledge and observations so feel free to correct me when you think I am wrong.. anyway ~~ here is JYP Nation [this may be more detailed because I am a JYP Nation stan]

 

JYP Nation currently has 41 artists under their roster..

 

  • JY Park

JYP is a legend in KPOP... no one can deny how huge his overall brand name is... After a massive hit last year he made a comeback this year featuring Conan o brian and glenn from TWD .. although I loved his songs.. I am glad he flopped...

  • Wonder Girls

Wonder Girls.. the group that reinvented girl groups in Korea.. after multiple line up changes and a 3 year hiatus they rebooted their careers and restarted as a band... although this was their worst charting title track.. they still managed to defeat the odds and do very well.. they're making a comeback this summer and I can't fucking wait!

 

  • HA:TFELT

Her solo didn't do well at all but she got so much recognition for releasing top quality music.. getting praises from alot of artists and openning alot of doors for her future.. like featuring for Gaeko, Babylon & Younha and more while writing songs for Giriboy Unpretty Rapstar and WGs.. hopefully we get to see a legit comeback soon

 

  • Sunmi

Sunmi is JYP's dark horse.. she debuted in 2013 and slayed the charts.. and made a comeback in 2014 and won a MAMA award... Seeing as how she isn't participating in JYP Nation's song with Suzy and Yerin I could only hope that we get to have another incredible solo like 24 Hours and Full Moon

 

  • 2PM

A group that is also burdened by enlistment.. 2PM has been very inactive in Korea as a group... its sad... I really miss them... although there is a massive decrease in fandom size and sales compared to their peak they are still going strong in Japan with their last album being their most successful album they released in Japan.. I just hope they do better then their last comeback.... I don't expect much

 

  • Junho, Chansung and now Taec had kdramas this year.. and Junho and Jun. K [hopefully] will get a solo comeback and tour in Japan

 

  • Jo Kwon

After 2AM went their separate ways Jo Kwon decided to stay with JYP and release a solo album.. which extremely underperformed.. selling less then 1000 albums and less then 100k downloads... he does seem to be doing well in musicals..

 

  • Miss A

I have no idea what will happen to Miss A... although they had a massive hit in 2015 being the top girl group in the yearly digital charts in Gaon they still got locked in the JYP dungeons since then.. with Jia leaving and Suzy's rumored solo who knows where the group stands...... but seeing Fei re-sign with JYP gives me a small glimmer of hope...

 

  • Suzy

Suzy is starring a high profile drama with Kim woobin soon and a rumored solo debut later this year ! I can't wait

 

  • Fei

Fei is busy in China with her upcoming movie with Aaron Yan [help me out FEIthfuls]

 

  • Baek Ayeon

She is definitely trending right now.. she is still in the top 5 on melon 3 weeks into the song's release and will probably snag a couple of featurings and OSTs.. I just hope JYP doesn't lock her in the dungeons for another year this time

 

  • 15&

15& hasn't released a song together since february 2015... and I don't understand why...... they could have given them a digital single at least because all their songs did relatively well digitally despite the embarrassing promotions they are getting.. JYP is fucking up with them

 

 

  • Jimin

Jimin had her solo debut in april last year and her song wasn't successful at all... rumor is she is working on her solo comeback and hopefully it does well.. she is too talented to flop like this

 

  • Yerin

Yerin is confirmed to make a solo comeback this month .. her last mini album did really great considering she is the only jyp artist in 3 years to have all her songs debut in the top 50 on gaon.. they expectations are high and I am praying she holds her own against sistar, exo and Girls day

 

  • GOT7

GOT7 is in a very unusual position.. they have a massive international fandom but their korean one is still pretty lacking [in my opinion] other groups with weak digitals and strong physicals you can see that almost all of their songs debut really high on digital charts but fall off after a while where as GOT7 only the title track debuts high and falls just as fast.. but their physicals have been continuously increasing... with Flight Log being their biggest sales jump compared to previous comebacks... they may not be a top tier group but selling 150k albums is still pretty huge

 

  • Bernard Park

Bernard is pretty much Baek Ayeon before the massive hit last year... his debut did really bad and his Duet match song underperformed too I wonder what JYP is going to do with him

 

  • G Soul

Despite the praises ad recognition he gets he still does really bad digitally... his last song showed alot of potential but dropped out of the charts really fast.. with his enlistment coming soon I wonder what JYP has in store for him

 

  • DAY6

regardless of what fans like to think they are still considered a boy group and have promotions that are very idol centric... like showing fans their dorms on V app and doing fanservice in their concerts... I don't believe in the "they are not idols" bullshit.... their album did better then their debut but in my opinion they still underperformed.... selling less then 15k on Gaon for a Big 3 group is very underwhelming.. JYP needs to do more for them........ DAY6 have so much potential in my opinion Sungjin, Brian, Jae and Wonpil are all very talented singers...

  • Twice

Twice are really taking over Korea.... almost 50 days into their comeback and they are still in the top 3 on Melon and is the only girl group to get 3 weekly PAKs ever.. and selling 115k albums already.. they are breaking records left and right and they aren't even a year into their debut.. I couldn't be any prouder of my babies <3.. if JYP continues to take care of them they have the potential to lead the new generation of girl groups!

so excited 4 wonder girls comeback i hope its as good as reboot or even better idk if thats possible tho but who knows they keep outdoing themselves.   :ahmagah:   i thought wonder world was peak quality for them in terms of albums but reboot blew me away so hopefully this album can too.

Same!!!! I didn't know what to expect with Reboot but the album was perfection

You can just see the difference with their albums for example. Idols albums are XXL size while DAY6's...

I think the point is Day6 may have originated as an attempt to be perceived as a type of indie boy band but the recent marketing strategies and media tactics have transitioned it similar paths as a typical idol band/group (i.e. v app/ music shows, radios, etc). Day6 shows tendencies for both arguments (indie & idol tendencies). Though I am just happy to see they have and will perform live at Studio J Bar.
