JYP is a company full of talent and may be the 2nd most well-rounded company in kpop


 


But let's appreciate one of their most talented idols with 5 reasons why you should stan!

1. He is the rapper of Day6 and undoubtedly one of the most talented rappers JYP has


 


2. But he can also sing beautifully, breaking the stereotype that rappers are usually the ones who can't sing

3. He also plays the guitar but did you know he can even play instruments with his mouth

theres always a time to shine, now day6 still underated band, but 1-2 years agaian they will stable and reach to the top!!!

Young.K (better known as Brian Kang, born Kang Yeonghyun) is very creative with his solos indeed which makes them not only calming to listen to on repeat but fascinating. Don’t miss his cover for Sunday Morning

(human saxophone included).

Even with most complex songs he just always knows how it should be sang even if he himself lacks a bit (f.e. his Lost stars cover

). No wonder he’s mostly in charge of DAY6 songs demo versions and sometimes even for ‘vocal direction’ for other groups (GOT7 Begging on my knees https://youtu.be/Uzz2C1NyjYc he also wrote lyrics for). In fact, a couple more works like this and he could be considered a part of JYPE’s production team.

But well, his main strength is what you mentioned above – his duets (& trios, & whole group). That boy is indeed melody & harmony alive. He harmonizes on point with the most intricate voice tones (f.e. DAY6 Wonpil

) and his adlibs are perfection as well.

And while his good enough guitar skills were mentioned above he’s truly beautiful with his main instrument which is Bass guitar. He looks mesmerizing (just go & take a look at their BUGS live https://youtu.be/gqX1MvV3vQE)and his technique isn’t lacking (even pros mention ‘bass line’ in their recordings).

And since his lyrics are already mentioned. He’s the main lyricist of DAY6 (and one of 2 main composers). So if you didn’t before, check DAY6 songs lyrics now. It’s really worth it. DAY6 music is gold and their message is as well.
