That brings the set’s total sum to 1.051 million in the U.S. All six of Beyonce’s solo studio albums have surpassed a million in sales, and all of them also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her biggest seller is her 2003 solo debut, Dangerously in Love, with 5 million sold. Beyonce’s total solo album sales stand at 17.2 million. Agreed, but CD sold albums in an era where it was possible to sell that many, before downloading. Beyonce started her solo career after the internet changed everything. Now it's a cause of celebration just for an album to squeak by one million these days. Keep in mind that these numbers are all calculated by a system that doesn't count bulk buying, so whatever Beyonce is selling now in today's piss poor market >>>>> the made up bulk-bought numbers we worship here on OH. She also sold 31 million copies for the album she released last 2011 titled 21 and she sold 2.7 million copies for her 19 album that was released last 2008. Also, she also had more presence as an icon than as a singer. For all her hype, I think I can count on one hand the number of real hits she had as a solo artist. Also, her impact on pop music has yet to be matched by anyone after her (Only post-21 Adele and 2009-2011 Lady Gaga could come close enough to compare). Y'all need to stop downplaying her to raise your faves. Cool, Beyonce got pipes... and what else ?
