We've seen all the bullshit threads about girl groups being against each other.. and Its time to make it a little interesting and see how they stack up against the boy groups!

I just talked to my friend about how most of the best releases this year so far come from girl group. 

 

My favorites are Dalshabet's Someone Like You, Stellar's Sting and Brave Girls' Deepened. I didn't even know about them last year

I'd have to say girl groups because BTS and Winner are the only boy groups that I have liked so far this year (Block B were decent too).

 

Over all though the year hasn't been a great one musically either way.

 

I'm hoping for Infinite, Sistar and Hyuna's upcoming releases to save the year.

Well, I'm super boy group biased so my answer might be irrelevant. I just can't get into girl groups for some reason :/ Winner, Day6, EXO, B.A.P, BTOB, Block B, NCT U, BTS all released albums I liked, whereas I only liked Mamamoo and Oh My Girl for girl groups.

 

But honestly I think solo artists, regardless of gender, have done the best this year. Taemin, Jaejoong, Lee Hi, Jung JoonYoung and Jonghyun released great stuff

Boy groups.

 

I like the girl group releases too but I choose boy groups because the amount of GG releases I didn't like is higher than the amount of GG releases I liked; whereas, for the boys I only disliked 4. So boys get my vote. No hate or anything like that; some releases just weren't my taste.
