in my own case I didn't find out I was the "secret" relationship til much later and lol that sucked

Some people hide their relationship to 'protect' it from prying eyes - so that the couple

can get to know each other without interference (and "opinions")

And yeah, some folks up to no good and be hiding stuff. smh. but who knows..their business.

My cousin was forced to wed a women, have two children and be a manly man all because of the homophobic father and mother he has. He and his wife has agreed to see different people but he still has to hide any relationship with a man. So he can only cheat on his wife with more women according to his family.

i know alot of people from conservative religious families who hide their relationships coz they know their parents wont approve.

My girlfriend's parents just found out about our relationship two nights ago (she had been hiding it) and she's getting kicked out of their home and cut off completely. Her mother won't even speak with her anymore because she's gay. There are people out there that are still intolerant.

My parents are way too embarrassing and overprotective ... They think EVERY guy only thinks about sex and I'm a little angel that need to be protected from those harmful things.  

 

my aunt told me I shouldn't date until I finish college and have an established career (aka 30). And I bet my dad and her won't let me go out with him by saying " I have a bad feeling about him" or go out at all tbh... So if I wanna keep my relationship, I'd have to hide it until the wedding day lmao if not, they prolly wouldn't let me get married at all
