Funky Kato Has Affair with Friend's Wife + The Two Having Child Together This Month

Funky Kato has admitted to having an affair with Eiji Shibata's wife, referred to as Ms. A, and that the two are having a baby together.

 

A report was published in a weekly tabloid magazine on June 7, and the singer held a press conference later that day confirming the reports.

 

"Everything written [in the magazine] is true," the singer said.

The affair began when Funky Kato met Ms. A at a party near the end of 2014. He couldn't resist the woman's charms, and pursued a relationship with her. He stated that he was unaware that she was a married woman when he began seeing her.

 

Around May of 2015, Ms. A admitted to her husband that she was having an affair with Funky Kato. Shibata is said to have been angry and sad about her infidelity, and quietly divorced his wife soon after being told.

The affair continued after Ms. A got divorced. She became pregnant with Funky Kato's child in September 2015 and will be giving birth to their child later this month.

 

Funky Kato was a member of Funky Monkey Babys up until the group disbanded in 2013. On April 15, 2013, he married the group's former manager, and the two had a child together in February of 2015.

After discovering that Ms. A had become pregnant with his child, the singer admitted to his wife that he had been having an affair. The two have deiced to stay together. Funky Kato will be paying Ms. A child support
