Prosecution indicts Kim Chang Ryul for assault against Wonderboyz member

It has been reported that Kim Chang Ryul was handed over to the courts on charges of assaulting the idols who were under his label.  

 

The Supreme Prosecutors' Office revealed on June 7 that they have indicted Kim Chang Ryul without detention on charges of striking a former Wonderboyz member's face multiple times at a Gangnam restaurant back in January, 2013. The Wonderboyz members had further claimed that Kim Chang Ryul not only hit them but that he also forcibly took their pay, and they reported him for battery and embezzlement. 

 

 

Kim Chang Ryul had vehemently denied the charges of battery during police and prosecutors' investigations but prosecution had deemed the victims' and witnesses' accounts to be more credible. However, prosecution stated the charges of embezzlement hard to prove, resulting in a no guilty ruling.

This doesn't sound good at all. DJ DOC's Kim Chang Ryul (42) has been charged with assaulting one of the celebrities in the company that he is representative of. And according to the police report, it sounds like the victim is a former Wonder Boyzmember.

 

 

On December 1 it was reported by a news outlet that according to a Seoul Kwangjin police station rep, someone by the name of Kim (21) from entertainment agency A said, "I was slapped across the face several times by Kim Chang Ryul and my salary was stolen by him."

According to the report, back in November 2012 at a Korean BBQ place, Kim Chang Ryul told Kim, 'You have 'celebrity disease' and slapped him several times along with abusive language. He also took the bankbook and bank cards owned by three of the former Wonder Boyz members. He stored it for himself and during the span of three months, he took 30 million won (approx. $25,912 U.S.).

Kim Chang Ryul's side is currently denying all of what Kim has said.

His company's side told a news outlet, "We can guess as to why this kind of news came out. But assault does not make any sense. We will continue with this through the law."

 

Now if this person really is a former Wonder Boyz member (the group has since disbanded), it looks to be member Kim Taehyun, as he fits the last name and the age

 

 

Kim Chang Ryul's original response to the lawsuit before any charges had been given:

 

Kim Chang Ryul has took to his Instagram account to address the issue, â€œI do possess that kind of image, but let us not judge a person because of his image alone… I do regret the things that I did when I was young… So I tried to change myself… after marriage I did change a lot… It took a long time for me to mature… but this situation leaves me truly dumbfounded… I do not have the courage to hit somebody. Moreover, I am not one who lusts after someone else’s money… It took millions to make Wonder Boyz and many people worked hard to put them together… However, a few months ago, I received reports… that the three members would terminate their contracts… So I told them to do so… But there is a period so I told them to leave after you have taken care of your responsibilities… However, it comes back as ridiculous reports like this… So I plan to take the necessary legal actions… Please curse me out when the results are out… I am tired of being cursed out for no reason^^ In any case, Wonder Boyz got the first place which they never did when they were active (referring to the real time online search)… If they are more popular, this kind of thing may not have happened… huhu It is regrettable^^â€

 

 

 

And in case people don't know or remember who Wonder Boyz is since they disbanded..they made the original Open the Door before it was remade by Im Chang Jung and they also had Tarzan which featured Hyeri in the MV

Happy they got him. Wonderboyz deserved better. Though they're not in a group anymore, some of the members are still making music and some good music at that.
