Some more info~

World of Final Fantasy’s release date was recently announced for the world, and the development staff shared more information on Square Enix’s upcoming title in an interview with Dengeki PlayStation. [Thanks, Hachima.]

  • Square Enix is currently brushing up and working on the game’s adjustments, basically finishing it up.

  • The Final Fantasy character that appear don’t come from another world, but they’ve lived in the world from the start. You’ll see characters that know each other in unexpected ways.

  • The game is being made so that it can be played in a relatively carefree manner. For example, there’s a system that will let you go back to town whenever you’re in a dungeon and easily return back inside the dungeon.

  • Wiping in battle simply results in returning back home and you don’t lose any money, and acquired items remain the same. It’s being balanced so that you can go all out in battles.

  • As far as gameplay value goes, the story parts alone will get you about 100 hours of gameplay.

  • The volume of the game is said to be about the same as a main-numbered Final FAntasy game, and there are many sub-stories to top it off. There are especially plenty of cutscene events featuring Final Fantasy characters.

  • Event scenes can be fast-forwarded or skipped.

  • You can mash your way through battles in the early parts of the game, but once you reach the middle parts you’ll want to think about elements and such or you might go through some trouble.

  • There are over 200 Mirages in the game. They say that it might get lonely for the Mirages that don’t get used, so they’re working on ways so that players will want to raise all of them.

  • Square Enix also hopes to be able to make figurines out of them.

Any love for the vita makes me happy tbh. I've wanted a new FF for the vita for a minute but was on the fence with this one. It looks like it might be fun though and that's really all I want from my games

Yeah right now I'm playing Muramasa Rebirth and it's really fun! (Despite all the needless backtracking lmao) can't wait for Odin Sphere to drop at the end of the month for us EUR people, looks so pretty and fun <3

Oh I downloaded that one! I'm surprised at how much I like it. I'm actually more of a RPG player (which is one of the main reasons I got the vita) so I wasn't sure how much I was going to like it but it's really fun. I'm hoping to backtrack a bit to get Toukiden Kawami since the demo was amazing and the 2nd one should be coming out soon (in japan as least).

Oh yeah same RPGs is my fav genre too  :ohbi: And yeah I played the demo for Toukiden, it was okay, my fav 'monster hunting' game on Vita though is definitely Soul Sacrifice Delta, that was such a unique and fun twist on the genre and being able to use crazy spells made it so awesome  :ahmagah: Plus the lore was incredible (and sad  )

The vita is definitely adding more to the current list which I'm loving. Hopefully this FF turns out to be a pretty good one.

I haven't checked out Soul Sacrifice yet but I have heard some good things about it. If it has a demo too then I might try it.

Yeah if you get it make sure to get the SS Delta ver since that's the sequel with better gameplay and contains the original game aswell
