JYJ Solo Appreciation/Discussion

Now that all 3 members have officially released solo albums it's time to go back and discuss/appreciate their debut title track. This is not a bashing thread since I love all 3 JYJ members and if you are just here to bash 2 while propping up one then you can leave. However, since their styles are so different I'm curious as to what people's preference is.

 

Since forming JYJ the debut tracks are:

 

Xia Junsu - Tarantallegra

 

Kim Jaejoong - Mine

 

Park Yoochun - How Much Love Do You Have In Your Wallet

I love all solos but I have to go for Jaejoong. And him learning to dance after all these years... I can't expect this much

I want jaejoong to sing more rnb like when he did a cover of boys 2 men song or trot;_;

 

 

Junsu should do more dance track since he loves dancing or rnb as well..

 

Yoochun can try new genre..jazz maybe? :D

For solo debuts, I'm gonna go with Mine because that was perfection.

Also, Yoochun going for a dark concept? Sign me up, I would love to see that lol.

Lol i see alot picking yoochun for dark concept xD maybe because both junsu and jaejoong has done it xD

For debut I prefer jaejoong for both album and title track.

junsu's Trantallegra was never my favorite title track.. I prefer incredible and flowers by far.

Iconic Taratallegra for favourite solo (I liked just another girl better for Jaejoong title track) and I want both Junsu and Yoochun to sing a rock song xD

Mine was just beautiful. It's one of my favorite songs. How much love do you have in your wallet was such a sweet heartfelt song. Very much like Yoochun, simple, no flashy trappings, but I think I'll go with mine. Tarantellagra was never my favorite song, but I really love the MV.

I pick Yoochun for dark concept.

If SME couldn't make jaejoong dance well, nothing can

For Junsu I love Intoxication - the lyrics can be cringey but the dancing/live performance is great. I kind of wish it had been released later so it could have been his single from his first album.

 

If Jaejoong did a dance track I don't know if I'd like it - I'm so used to him flouncing around with big furry leather coats singing high notes that an organized dance just wouldn't feel right....

 

and Yoochun - I just want to see him with dyed hair doing something a little goofy. He doesn't need to go back to Balloons era Yoochun but I'd love to see him in a fun concept.

They are great solo acts and equally great. For me to pick one, I will say Junsu Tarantellagra. The Live concert and his dancing amazes me. His energy , charisma and stage presence was just mind blowing to me. The stage set up and the quality production for all the dance tracks was awesome. And setting the trend for solo world tour for others to follow is just outstanding. And his showcase with the dancers are of such high standard.

Junsu Tarantellagra is a visual and performance song. While jaejoong's Mine amd Yuchun's solo will do better as audios and on charts. They are different , so for me each has its own merits.

 

I would love to see jaejoong and Yuchun new creations when they made their comeback.

I go with mine because that song fits really well with jaejoong.. I dont like tarantalegra and prefer its live performance.. it is totally awesome.. for yoochun, that song fit him well too but because it is ballad, so i choose jae. I want yoochun to do dark concept. Same for his album or movie.. I want to see badass yoochun.. 😠now, i just want jaejoong to form his own band and rock japan and world.. Just release japanese rock album and do nation tour and i will die in happiness jae.. :3

not a big fan of yuchun and junsu's solos but they're alright, junsu has a few songs that i like
